First there was Final Fantasy with Theatrhythm, and coming later this year, Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Ys should be next since it has the best music.

Happy New Year, peoples. My main RPG goal for this year is to get as much of my MegaTen backlog (including P4) taken care of as possible. This will be tough...

Starting this year with Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, I'm going for the 1000 in it. Then maybe back to Takes of Xillia.
 
Don't forget the Theatrhythm sequel!  I really hope it gets localized (and don't really see why it wouldn't).

To celebrate the new year, I'm gonna start up on Neverwinter Nights 2.  Was a good way through the OC 3-4 years ago but got trapped by a bug and got so frustrated gave up.

My main RPG goal is to catch up on most of these Tales games. Once I'm done with Graces f, I'm going to track down Vesperia and Abyss and maybe try to complete one before the Symphonia collection.

I'm behind in Tales myself, though not nearly as bad as I am with MegaTen. Maybe I'll play through a Tales this year, too.

 
I should make a goal of playing a RPG on a console. I don't think I did any in 2013. (Did a few days of Eternal Sonata but quickly dropped it)

And now I'm probably stuck on the August story mission in VC 2. Might need to level up some.

 
My gaming goal is trying not to use a guide so much and to finish my RPG backlog. Right now I'm playing Devil Survivor Overclocked on the 3DS. So far I'm 20 hours in with my MC at level 33 without using a guide. I kinda messed up so I just have to continue to see where the story goes. I have to do some more grinding before the next battle.

I'll never be wrong about Teddie, he is exactly who I want him to be, nothing can change that. :speaktothehand:

Also, that can be my New Year's resolution, sometime in 2014, hopefully soon, I'll actually work up to beating Persona 4 (which I have played before, gosh Indignate, just not that much... at all, haha). Gotta work hard on finding a new job as my first and primary objective for the new year though.

Just gimme some god damned Panzer Dragoon Saga already! (and Burning Rangers, please. Both games came out after my retarded 12 year old self sold his Saturn and ~30 games for an N64 and 3 games... fucking funcoland)

As far as I've seen, it's at the very least got all the original's songs. Definitely new songs. As for what all is new, can't seem to find any concrete info released as of yet. My hope is all the iphone "exclusive" songs/characters get added in with all the new stuff too. Gods that pissed me off so much after buying the first game and all the fucking songs, they release it on IOS songs not in the 3DS version or offered as DLC :( Wonder if it'll include all the DLC from the first game, or if it'll "share" the DLC ala rockband so you still need to buy it but it's compatible with both games? Did I mention I bought every damn song haha.

Someone told me to download the nude mods for Dragon Age.

Well, I did. I thought it meant that when the game had nude scenes it would look better.

Instead, when you take off your armor it shows them nude.

And all the men are... standing tall which makes for very awkward moments sometimes.

Well, time to uninstall the nude mod.

 
I just got a Vita and Persona 4, but really don't want to get too deep into til I beat Dream Team, I'm nearly at the end of that assuming I can beat the Zeekeeper (tried him once, didn't do well) and don't have much to go after that. 2014 looks like a ton of rpgs for me-Lightining Returns, Bravely Default, South Park, Tales of Xillia 2, Dragon Age III just off the top of my head...

 
Gotta love Morrigan's romance scene when she removes her clothes and her underwear is LESS revealing than her normal outfit.
 
A couple hours into the FF1 Anniversary on PSP. Hard to play it for more than 15 minutes at a time before being overwhelmed with boredom...

The only time I was able to get myself to play through FF1 was when I was 12. I tried it again not that long ago and it's seriously boring.

I'll agree with that, DA2 isn't a terrible game, but it certainly doesn't live up to the original in a lot of ways. It had some good stuff in it, but there was also a bunch of bad stuff as well (in all honesty if the game just had unique environments for each dungeon, even if they had to cut back on the number a bit I would have liked the game a lot more even with its other weaknesses).

Also, all of this talk about DA makes me want to play through it again, especially since upon looking there are a good number of interesting mods out there, plus it will get me ready for playing DA:Inquisition on the PC (since I've only finished DA and DA2 on PS3, but I'm almost positive I'll be getting Inquisition for the PC).

I played it for a few hours, I think it's pretty sweet. Also boo Sega for no Valkyria Chronicles II on the PSN. I'll also be in the controversial category of actually liking DAII. Ok, the repetitive enviroments sucked but I loved the characters (except emo Anders, fuck him bring back the funny dude from Awakenings) and the combat.

Morrigan looks like a boss in the Sacred Ashes trailer. Better than her in-game model. Case unrested.

Dragon Age II is better than Origins.

FF1 Anniversary is way unbalanced. I flew through the entire game and never died, then ran into a brick wall at the final boss because I didn't have the right party setup. Never did beat it.

No save points in the final dungeon. I died on the final boss and was too demoralized to do the entire dungeon again. Another Final Fantasy remake I'll never beat. :(
 
Finished off August w/o needing to play extra missions or grind in VC 2. It's all a matter of strategy. That, and using the tank to kill 90% of the enemies.

EO 4 and P4 Golden will have to wait even longer. February, perhaps.

I think I remember having that same problem. Allot of times I'll get to the end of games, and say "I've played this enough, time to move on."

 
Ok I think I'm giving up on Mario & Luigi Dream Team, the fight near the end with the Zeekeeper is ridiculous because a major part is based on the 3DS' extremely shoddy tilt controls and I just get hammered into oblivion, it's ridiculous.

 
I do remember that part being wonky. Definitely would have been nicer if it had a way to reset position on the gyro control there.

BUT YOU'RE SO CLOSE.

 
Well maybe I'll just take a break and go back to it at another time, I've barely started Zelda.
