I bought the season pass for The Wolf Among Us and, like everyone else that did, received a code for Episode 2.

Is it safe to give that code away, without risking my access to that episode when I eventually decide to download it as a season pass owner?

Yes the code was only because there were issues with the season pass. Once those were fixed (and I think they are now) you should be able to download (and re-download) as you please.

Come on guys. No dlc for any game will go on sale during this extravaganza.

BTW has anyone tried to do any online matches in Soul Caliber yet? How is the online community?

So I've been playing Runner2, such a fantastic game but if you're an achievement completionist, its a pain with all the Perfect+ you have to do on each difficulty (300 levels total). However, for $1.89 and being a rhythm platformer, its certainly a refreshing break from all the FPS/fighting/racing games I play.

No, it's not, missed the boat unfortunately. Indignate's sig is OBVIOUSLY a gif they made of themselves. I heard she's single too. Go for it dude!

Yeah, just found about the free code last night. The Season Pass IS fixed though by the way (though nobody fucking reported on it), I just downloaded Ep 2 for free last night from the in-game menu without redeeming the code. It's safe to give it away.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would think otherwise. DLC sales have been a low priority lately. As for the online, I can probably give you an answer once I go home and play it. :)

Alright, thanks guys. Ill find out myself later on tonight. I played alittle of weapon master's mode last night and that was it. For those on the fence, for $5 you can't go wrong whether your great at fighting games, or your mediocre like me.

Not going to happen. They WOULD have (and ported the Legacy collection) but 360 discs only support 8 GBs each, while PS3 discs support 50 GBs each. The game would have to ship on far too many 360 discs to fit (because of all the cutscenes, yes, the game has a million of them). That's why. It's also why MGSV is on both platforms (Xbone has far bigger disc sizes than 360). Ground Zeroes is only on 360 because it's a much smaller game.

So what you are saying is they would have to trim the game down to the parts I liked and leave out the garbage I skipped?  Sounds good to me!

It was a fun stealth action game that was ruined by Kojima's continued belief that he writes compelling stories and cutscenes.  Too many fanboys gush on him thinking weird, constant plot twists are good writing.  Just make a freaking game, you are good at that part!  Lack of good editing always falls by the wayside when directors/writers get too into themselves and have enough clout to override good outside input.  It happened to The Matrix too - those last two movies desperately needed someone to step in and ground it more.  Shonda Rhimes as well, her writing has gone from really interesting to "let's see how many twists I can pack in an episode to shock people" - Scandal used to be a fun show to watch, but it got so absurd me and my wife don't even watch it anymore.

But that implies that Kojima would be able to make a port of his game that has the editing you speak of. That's why it's impossible. I agree that it's kind of overrated. I liked it, but there have been much better entries in the series. Funnily enough, MGS4 suffers from the same kind of overrating that *ahem* a certain game mentioned in this thread suffers from. Mostly that their focus on a good "cinematic experience" makes people forget about their subpar gameplay.

For everyone who bought Guardians, is the online active again or the servers working properly? I remember deleting it a few months ago because it was taking ages to find games. I'm tempted to redownload the game and play it now.

All 3 times I've matched up took around one minute each time. I like how it tells you average wait time and its pretty accurate from my 3 whole games of experience.

That being said, MOBAs are tougher than I thought. Glad I got in on this for a dollar, but I have some practicing to do before I become a relevant player.

What game are you talking about? (I like pointless arguing)

Edit: Maybe Alan Wake?

I bought it full price, and I don't really regret it. It was fun for the first couple months but then the servers started to take a crap and people left so I deleted it from the hard-drive. Hopefully this sale has brought more people into the game. And yes, I agree that MOBAs are pretty hard to play.

I was going to ask the same thing. Not to start an argument (I hope), but out of curiosity.

Probably Bioshock Infinite.

I personally enjoyed the hell out of both games despite the gameplay not being perfect.

Edit: on second thought it's probably Alan wake, which to be honest I have to agree that game really never clicked for me gameplay wise.

There's two. I'll go with the less controversial one first (though more people will defend it, most likely). No, it's not Alan Wake. For the most part, people acknowledge that some of the gameplay is lacking, it gets closer to the scores it should and I don't think I've ever seen it overhyped like the game I'm thinking of.

We have a winner. Easily one of the most overrated games of 2013. Good, but with several glaring flaws (just like MGS4) forgiven for its story/cinematics. Notice I say I liked it. But it is not the Game of the Year, 10/10 a lot make it out to be. And yes, I liked Bioshock 1 better.

Went into my backlog to see if I can delete anything. Played some Dead Light, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Block to find one game that needed to go right away.

Dead Rising 2.

Yeah, it looks great but the weapons system and the mall environment was boring and reminded me of the first game. The arrow is telling me where to go yet nothing happens when I get to the destination. The only fun part of the game I had was riding on a motorcycle with two chainsaws mowing down zombies.   Dead Island is much better IMO.

Deadlight is more of a "going through the motions" game but at least I'm curious to see where it's going.

And how can you go wrong in Dead Block,  a game where you can kill zombies by playing a guitar?

Fair enough. I was pretty impressed with it, but wouldn't put it at GOTY (GTA V and The Last of Us duke that out in my mind). I found the gameplay to be much better than Bioshock 1 and 2, but I generally didn't love those games like most people (always felt underpowered). It still was far from perfect. I suppose it's one of those games where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

The Vigors/two gun system killed a lot of the gameplay for me, honestly. The regenerating shield, the constant items from Elizabeth (using the tear powers is fine, but the throwing you random items without tears was a little much), and that "ghost fight", among many other things, did not help it in my eyes. But hey, at least you're not calling Ken Levine a creative genius because he made a story and thought it was good because he didn't understand it. His words, by the way.

Just had to mention The Last of Us, huh? Oh boy. I think this is the part where I'll shut up.

I welcomed the extra firepower (well overall lowering in difficulty, I guess) since, like I said, I always felt underpowered in the first two (enemies were bullet sponges; one or two decent encounters would leave me without health/eve/ammo and I'd spend the next 20 minutes digging through trash cans and whatnot trying to re-prepare). But most of all I just found Columbia to be a really fun environment to inhabit/explore and the story was very good (a bit too convoluted for its own good, though).

Maybe it's best to not elaborate on The Last of Us since I just got in a debate over it the other day in the PSN thread. I enjoyed everything about the gameplay in it (well, I'll admit the AI in stealth scenarios was mediocre at times), but I understand that nothing is loved by everyone.

I like how every NPC is exactly the same.

I didn't notice. I doubt I would have cared if I did.

Yeah I was there for the LoU debate. Didn't agree with nearly any of their views, but there's really no reason to post once certain members become involved. They only tolerate one PoV.

Haha, alright, you got some laughs from me. Never change, bardock.

Eh, was a 6/7 for me, I think TLoU was the most overrated game last year hands-down. There's plenty wrong with it, stealth sections and AI to start. It doesn't help that the E3 demo had more advanced AI than the actual game, which led people (myself included) to be disappointed.

I agree with some of your points against Bioshock 1 & 2, but Infinite did not make anything better in my opinion. But see, you found Columbia to be a fun environment and you enjoyed the story. That was my original point. Subpar gameplay, that's overlooked because of those factors. Same thing with the Last of Us, honestly.

It's funny you immediately mentioned some of my main criticisms against TLoU (I didn't read your post before writing that, I swear). We probably saw most of the same flaws, it's just that you could overlook them because again, story/environments. And I couldn't. That's where we differ.

So I'm not alone in thinking The Last of Us is nowhere near as great as people make it out to be, I guess the internet has some sense left in it after all  :-P

I'll admit that I'm a sucker for game worlds/stories done right, probably because it happens so rarely. But yeah, I can see the other side of it, too.

Sorry to derail the thread too much. I haven't bought a single game from the sale yet. Not because it's not a pretty good sale, but because I already own (but not necessarily played) pretty much everything of interest to me.
