I've heard the Vita version of LEGO Marvel is the Vita's worst LEGO game yet, hence the game's subtitle. Anyone else confirm/deny this?

Yeah it's poop. I don't know why the developers decided to use the 3ds port for the vita version. The vita is perfectly capable of running the console version. Maybe with some graphical downgrades. There's no free roam. It uses an overhead camera. It has about half the amount of missions as the console version.

 
I would also like to mention that it's the same price at Best Buy, making it the cheapest if you have GCU.

EDIT: I would also like to mention that Batman Akrham Origins for Vita is also $29.99 at Amazon, Gamestop and Best Buy. I'd make a separate thread but I'm sure most people are waiting for the $20 price point. I know I sure am. For Batman and Injustice. It'll happen soon enough.

Yeah. I mentioned that it was a port of the 3ds version lol & I cannot answer you on that since I haven't played LOTR.

That's SO lame. All things being more or less equal I'd buy a portable version, and Vita could totally do it. :whistle2:/

 
I would definitely buy Lego Marvel if they did the port justice. I won't buy any though, I got LOTR as a gift and it was the laziest port I have ever played in my life.

Why is it that when I commented on the inferiority of LEGO games on Vita a month or so ago, people said "Well, they're not THAT bad", but in this thread, everyone is saying "Yeah, they're terrible, lazy ports"? :???:

Blackgate is pretty fun. Just for reference, I really enjoyed Arkham Origins on console, so I'm not a hater. I'm still trying to get a feel if I like it or not, got it for $25 over the holidays. It has that feel of where they tried and succeeded at doing something unique and fun, but there are several places where they obviously tried to mimic the console version and it failed. I think it would have been better had they been given more leeway to stray from console, rather than trying to emulate it.

Take, for example, an early boss fight where you shoot the explosive gel to turn on switches (and can do so over and over without damage). Many of the devices could be called "widget to allow progress #4". It is less of a logical use of an item, than simply the designers trying to cram devices in the console version into the game that really don't make sense in that context.

The graphic style of the cutscenes is great and the fighting is a downgraded but still fun version of the console.

 
I bit on Injustice. Would rather have it digital but as with Killzone I don't want it taking 3gb+ of my 32gb stick. Ill suffer the 15 second game switch time I guess. Got it for $25.67 with GCU so it helps anyway. /first world problems
