Wii FIt U for $40?  Ugh, now I wish I had waited instead of buying the used balance board.... oh well....

That's a fair price for HD Land, I'd jump on it if anyone is desperate for something to play on that WiiU.

I doubt it's the version of Wii Fit U that includes the board; probably the $50 version that just includes the disc and fit meter.

Oh wow, a first party, modern Mario game under MSRP? Waaay under MSRP. Yep, this is the best chance you'll get for a while.

considering Wii u fit. Anyone try it out? Already have the board.

Ah, I gotcha, I forgot that was coming out lol.

You have until after the 31st to download the Wii Fit U trial version for free and sync a Wii Fit Meter to it.  Then you can have the game for $20.  Unless you'd rather pay an extra $20 for a physical disc, that's the best deal I think you can find at this point.

As for the game itself, I guess it's ok but there' really nothing special here.  They added some dances that I like, but the Balance Board often fails to recognize when you shift your weight or step off the board during these dances (no, it's not my board, I tried two others to make sure).

The Wii Fit Meter is a fucking joke.  It's been advertised as a thermometer, but it can't ever give me a temperature reading within 15 degrees of the actual temperature whether I'm wearing it or not.  It is supposed to measure altitude, but this is REALLY fucked up; one moment I'll have an elevation of 0, then walk a few feet and I'll be at -300'.  I guess I didn't realize I was walking off so many invisible cliffs  :???:? .  The meter does let you reset your altitude, but that doesn't fix a damn thing as minutes later it'll be back to -200 something.  I realize temperature and air pressure impact this thing, but jesus christ, the inaccuracies of this thing are asinine.  Furthermore, I'd read that the meter is supposed to be able to tell when you are actually walking/running and when you are driving.  Unless I'm burning over 100 calories in a 30 minute drive that's utter bullshit.  Note that it's not just driving that'll mess up your step count; even riding in the backseat or on a bus will screw this thing up.  To be fair, I think the digital manual does say driving can potentially mess up your readings, but then why advertise the fucking "feature" if it doesn't work?  Once again, I've read about multiple complaints similar to mine on various forums, so I know I didn't get stuck with a broken meter (unless they were all broken, which I guess they are)..

The meter does keep good time, so if you need a watch there's that, but that's the only thing that really works as well as you'd expect.  Whenever I walk the local trail after work (5 miles round trip, very flat terrain) the meter does seem to get my mileage somewhat accurate (give or take half a mile :???: ).  But, despite Nintendo's claims on their commercial, this piece of shit is a fucking joke compared to even the cheapest pedometers you'll find.  If you can borrow one to use it to fully unlock Wii Fit U, or convince the store to give you a refund after unlocking the game, I'd highly recommend that.

If you still have Wii Fit I'm not sure if you should bother upgrading or not, at $20 it's really a toss-up.  I guess if you still use Wii Fit it's worth it?  I certainly wouldn't pay $40 for this, and if you are buying this for the pedometer functionality you might as well just flush your money down the nearest commode. I still don't think anybody is going to make any real progress in losing weight with Wii Fit, but $20 is still a fair enough price.

So combined with the GCU discount I could get Dead Rising 3 and Lego Marvel for $80? Not too bad.

I'd actually be really curious to see if the "next gen" Lego game is noticeably better looking or performing than the old ones at this point - maybe load times?

It's YMMV if you can make that happen. Generally, it's a no as that's considered double dipping in offers.

Load times are much better
Doesn't chug on split screen
Slightly crisper 1080p graphics
Otherwise plays the same

i'm still kicking myself in the ass for not getting all the XBX1 titles when there was the $25 + $15 gc offer... The games were ultra cheap and the store gave me back a price difference when the games dropped to a lower price too!!

I bought the wii fit meter end of December and barely just sync it it only costed $10 so I figured $10 compared to physical copy of $50 I would definitely take digital copy

Chill what?  The man asked about the game, should I lie to him and tell him it's fantastic?
And please, let's refrain from the "bro" nonsense.  I'm not your brother.
