Damn, Far Cry 3 for $10?! Haven't seen it lower than that. Makes me regret buying it for $13 since I haven't played it yet

Don't, I bought it new for 60 bones and the hours of fun it provided were well worth it. ;)
Yeah, most likely. It's mostly about me not waiting out for a cheaper price and showing restraint  . I have such a huge backlog that it's gonna be awhile till I can consider starting up Far Cry 3.

Edit: Far Cry 3 Ultimate Edition is on sale on PSN for 17.99. Comes with four dlc packs. Might be a better deal if you're not a physical collector.

I am tempted on XCOM for $9 but I swore to not spend any more real money on games right now.  Must resist...I will go look at my backlog...that "should" help.

To be honest you can probably skip XCOM. It's nothing really bad, but it's totally forgettable and it's Mass Effect with less emphasis on story and characters and much more on combat where you HAVE TO constantly issue commands to your allies if you want them to not die.

Ok cool. Actually I have all 3 DLCs to play for ME3 so I will just do that instead. Thanks. :)

XCOM is interesting for maybe an hour. Then you get extremely frustrated about the team AI, they will do literally nothing unless you tell them to. The PS3 version had some framerate issues when I played.

Far Cry 3 is worth it 10 times over tbh. Such an amazing game. Recently beat, and I loved every single minute of it.

Should I bite at $10 for Walking Dead Survival Instinct? I know it's a terrible game but should I get now or wait for a cheaper price?

Because I like achievements and I heard it was an easy game to achievements in? >.>
That's a pretty sad reason to play through a terrible game and I think it was like $8 or less at Microsoft Store a few months back.

Whatever. I'm not afraid to admit it. If you don't like it, that's your opinion. That being said, can anyone recommend buying at $10 or should I wait for a lower price?

Well if it's a poorly received game and been out for almost a year, it'll probably drop to a bargain bin price that's lower than $10 within a few more months. I'd probably wait unless you want immediate achievement points.

Honestly, I get you. I like getting trophies on PS3 (same as Achievements on Xbox) just as much... It's just fun and some people don't get that. With that said, $10 is a good enough price for almost any game with easy trophies/achievements. Get it, beat it, sell it.

i just bought Xcom:bureau, i'm curious to see how it plays.
It was surprisingly fun considering all the bad reviews. I liked it a lot. If you try to play it like a normal cover shooter (which the game tricks you into doing during the beginning) you will probably have a bad time. The teammate AI is totally brain dead at shooting stuff on its own, and will often wander off into the open if you don't stay on top of them.

You basically have to play it like RTS combat with constant micromanagement. You should be using the command wheel to continuously spam teammate abilities as soon as each cooldown expires (particularly abilities that draw enemies out of cover, like Taunt and Scatter), and continuously spamming "mark target" so that all your teammates focus their fire on what you are firing at. Don't worry too much about flanking maneuvers, getting fancy with movements will usually end up with your idiot teammates ignoring orders and abandoning cover.

Spot on. If the combat has been slowed to a crawl due to your constant micromanagement, then you are doing it right. Or else the teammate will just die, while their normal attacks don't do anything, you definitely need their skills. Basically just move them to the most protected cover area and wait for their skill cooldown.

No Walking Dead for PS3; not in the link, and doesn't show up in a search.  Gone forever, maybe?  Would have bitten for $10; now i guess i'll just have to go play something in my backlog instead.

Anyone else notice Saints Row IV at $19.99 as well?  That's not bad.  If there were free shipping, I'd probably jump on it.

I know that mentality.

I hate when I watch a game drop in value before I ever play it, or get back to it.

As a CAG it can be so hard to resist the temptation of a cheap video game sale, even if it does just add to the backlog.

Nobody would buy it from you. It's a straight up horrible game. It's totally broken with almost no connectivity to the actual story. Basically, it's all about Daryl finding his crossbow, which happens in a shitty, uneventful way about halfway through.

The Achievements ARE easy, so why is ANYONE even talking about buying it for $10? Would you buy another horrible, franchise milking game, like Hannah Montana The Movie, for $10 just to get 1000G? Rent it from Redbox, dude.

Does Killer is Bread come with the art book and fancy box packaging, or is it all regular in a plastic case?

Gears of War:Judgment for only 9 bucks? You bet.  If TIVs hold this will be a cheap rental.

Thanks for the updated thread.
