They only have a few games in this promotion and I think this was the only $40 game. The others were $59.99Hmm, KH wasn't shown in the ad. Is it ANY $40 game?
target.com shows an instore price of $29.99 for KH 1.5 LE...They only have a few games in this promotion and I think this was the only $40 game. The others were $59.99
Hhmm...the weekly ad shows either $20 or $10 off, depending on the game. So maybe it was $29.99 with $10 off? Although the weekly ad doesn't show Kingdom Hearts as one of the games, either.target.com shows an instore price of $29.99 for KH 1.5 LE...
im confused to cause I could of sworn when this was posted it was talking about the KH 1.5 LE but now it look like this thread been changed to KH 1.5 Remix not the limited editionHhmm...the weekly ad shows either $20 or $10 off, depending on the game. So maybe it was $29.99 with $10 off? Although the weekly ad doesn't show Kingdom Hearts as one of the games, either.
It's not about the pre-order FYI, it's about paying $1 for the pre-order card to get more than $1 off a game. The subject is a little misleading on this thread...
I'd buy KH for $20, not really digging preordering. As a general rule of thumb, I do my best to not support the "bonus" buys preorders are ripe with.
Yeah I hear ya, gaming can easily be an expensive hobby. It's not about the pre-order FYI, it's about paying $1 for the pre-order card to get more than $1 off a game.
I just saw that. Tomorrow, I'm going to price match their website and return the one I bought today. I just know though that they will debate whether the one's they have are the LE or not since no where does it say LE on the packaging.target.com shows an instore price of $29.99 for KH 1.5 LE...
It might be ymmv because the policy states you cant price match and get the bonus $20 off the game. Only one or the other.I just saw that. Yeah, I remember when they had the fiasco of people getting the Skylanders Giants starter set for around $1. Price matching TRU for $39.99, using the $10 off McDonalds coupon, then using the $20 reserve promotion to end up getting the set for $1It might be ymmv because the policy states you cant price match and get the bonus $20 off the game. don't forget the $1 Tomb Raider Steelbook games toYeah, I remember when they had the fiasco of people getting the Skylanders Giants starter set for around $1. Price matching TRU for $39.99, using the $10 off McDonalds coupon, then using the $20 reserve promotion to end up getting the set for $1
You need to pre-order a game for $1 in order to get the discount for KH. The $1 pre-order cards are located in the games sections, usually hanging up somewhere. You can then just not pick up the game if you have no interest in it.So how does this work? I go in purchase KH and pre-order any of those games in the ad for $1 and get KH for $20? Is KH for sure a part of the promotion even though its not one of the games listed in the ad?
Also, what do I do with the pre-order? Come in another day and just cancel it? Sorry I don't shop at Target too often .-.
So it is only $10 off and not $20?Well just got back from Target with KH LE for a little under $22. Not bad at all! Thanks for the heads up
In my experience, some games don't work. There'll be signage on the pegs of the cards that do work.Am I able to preorder any game that they have a card for and receive this discount? Or is it only if certain games are preordered?
But there are some games that aren't in the ad, such as Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures, and Just Dance Kids.LE rings up at $39.99, customer service wouldn't allow both promotion to work.
Look at the ad, it shows which preorder you can use.
I'm talking about the pre-order cards, some preorder cards are not working with this deal. Each game you listed is advertised with signing in the store, but the pre-order cards didn't have any signing in my store. But there are some games that aren't in the ad, such as Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures, and Just Dance Kids.
Woohoo! Mighg have to snag one latet if this is the case.Pricematched to their own website for $29.99, handed the customer service person the $1 preorder card, and it automagically took the additional $20 off, making it $9.99 for the game and $1 for the preorder card. The preorder card can be returned for $.35 btw, hahaha.
What system was the pac man for? And is it part of the $10 off or $20 off offer? But there are some games that aren't in the ad, such as Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures, and Just Dance Kids.
Crap! Customer service did not want to stack the target website pricematch and the $20 off with preorder even though after she scanned the card the total went down to $11.xx. Said its either the pm or the $ off. Grrr! That was the last LE they have in store so i just did the $ off. Oh well i tried. So its definitely ymmv even though it stack in their systemWoohoo! Mighg have to snag one latet if this is the case.
All systems, $10 off, makes it $20+pre order card. What system was the pac man for? And is it part of the $10 off or $20 off offer?
Ahhhhhh. Makes sense, I see what you were getting at.I'm talking about the pre-order cards, some preorder cards are not working with this deal. Each game you listed is advertised with signing in the store, but the pre-order cards didn't have any signing in my store.
Check out an unboxing video, it looks like it's just a digibook style package with the artbook having the disc on the inside back cover, and the outer slipcase bookcover, wrapped in the cheapo shrinkwrap. I picked up one of each of the regular edition and the LE, not sure if it's worth grabbing more of them at $10 a pop.Assuming my limited edition copy is factory sealed, this is one of the cheapest looking wrappings I have ever seen on a game. Part of the wrapping is overlapping on the back and folds down the middle, but it it so loose, that you can literally lift the wrapping up and stick your hand inside. I hope the regular game case inside is sealed normally.
Damn, went for the double dip and they told me that they got an email not to pricematch the $29.99 and do the promo card. Still not a bad deal for $20.99 though, including the dollar I put down on TItanfall. Also was able to find a Skyward Sword for $19.99, so I guess in all I lucked out.
Did you guys try with the game only? Or did you try to hide the discount by purchasing other stuff?Yeah I tried today and the guy at customer service wouldn't do both. So I just got it for $20 since it's still a decent price for me.
Like I said, I had Skyward Sword but that was it. The only thing I might try is calling, asking for a manager and saying that I see that it's online for $29.99 and they had it for $39.99 in store. But that's a lot of effort for $10.Did you guys try with the game only? Or did you try to hide the discount by purchasing other stuff?
I just had a copy of the game and the pre-order card. Guy said they'd gotten a memo no to combine the online price match with the $20 off.Did you guys try with the game only? Or did you try to hide the discount by purchasing other stuff?
Nice. I will have to try this tomorrow, I never have luck with this sort of thing but it's worth a shot.Pricematched to their own website for $29.99, handed the customer service person the $1 preorder card, and it automagically took the additional $20 off, making it $9.99 for the game and $1 for the preorder card. The preorder card can be returned for $.35 btw, hahaha.
