Just got a PSP Go

Like the title states just got a PSP Go and am wondering which accessories and games are essential. Any input is greatly appreciated.

at most just a screen protector and put it in your pocket. it is designed for small form factor so I won't worry all the things that make it big and less portable.    The sony psp go screen protector sucks, I gave up and go with bare screen.  I do have their carry case but I don't use it.

otherwise, want tv out, get the tv cable, want a stand, get a stand. nothing really went on with PSP go since it died a quick death so there is really not much accessories for it.

games? standard PSP must get,

oh, sorry, no crisis core on it... I am currently replaying FF IX on it.

what games do you like, I am sure we can find quite a few must get on PSN for you.

wow, just went through my PSP library and try to see what is available on PSN and not as many as I expected. no popolocrois , valkyrie profile and star ocean etc.

Dissidia, various FF, tactics ogre, Gurumin, lunar legend of heroes, persona and persona2 (I think these 2 are a bit hard to play). Persona 3 Portable, fate extra, god eater burst, valkyria chronicles 2 and the ys game.

for arcade, definitely genesis collection

god chains of olympus

I don't play shooters,

just some of the games I have that's also avialable on PSN.

I would say Dissidia, Tactics Ogre, P3P, VC2 are my must get,

What you need, is Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles. I think it's going for $14.99 on PSN at the moment. (you can wait for a sale if that's too steep, but it is worth it at that price)

Dracula X Chronicles features a very capably re-made version of Rondo of Blood, and unlockable full versions of the original Rondo of Blood, as well as Symphony of the Night. In terms of sheer potential gameplay it is an incredible value.

I got this case for my PSP GO, an official one, and I quite like it.

It's like a tablet cover, you put your PSP inside and then just flip up the screen cover and can play it without taking it out of the case. The material of the back of case is easier to keep a grip on if your hands get a little sweaty, you also avoid getting fingerprints on it.

They do weekly sales on the PSN on Tuesdays, keep your eyes peeled when PSP games go on sale and then look them up. In the year or so since I've had a PSP I've been able to pick up about 75% of my wishlist on sale. Best to pick one or two games to get at full price to keep you busy, then wait for other games you want to go on sale rather than go on a shopping spree and games you bought go on sale while they are still in your backlog.

Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded - Lots of street fighter 2 versions, all 3 original ghosts and ghouls games, 1942 + other unknown/bizarre games like eco ffighters as well as lots cheat codes and production artwork you can unlock for the various games . I picked up Remixed Collection as well but it is not nearly as good a value and has much more of a barebones presentation; it has the original Street Fighter, but it's crap, the only other games of note are Final Fight and Bionic Commando.

Atlus has quite a variety of RPGs and they are on sale quite often (once a month or more), unfortunately you just missed the annual Final Fantasy sale, you could have picked up Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lion or many of the PS1 FF games.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll look out for sales on the network. I'll probably pick up that case I like that you don't have to take it out and that it provides extra grip.

I totally agree that Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded is a fantastic collection, especially for the three GnG games, King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, and Mercs. But I disagree that Capcom Classics Collection Remixed is not that great; it has a couple great games, including Black Tiger, Magic Sword, Strider, and a little known but fantastic shmup called Varth. All the games on the Capcom Classics collections are arcade ports, and both collections are well worth picking up digitally for the Vita (for only 9.99 per collection).

Is Black Tiger the one that is kinda of similar to Ghouls and Ghosts? I started one of them like that on remix and I eventually had to stop because it took so many hits to kills enemies it was becoming really tedious. Strider I was looking forward to playing because he was one of my favorite characters to use in my team in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but it was only ok.

Yes, it's similar, and also very hard. Not the best older arcade game out there, but still fun to pick up and play on occasion. And yes, some enemies take multiple hits to kill, while your own character is fairly weak; but many arcade games back then were designed to eat quarters, and this one fits that pattern.

Thanks for the input. I like rpgs, shooters, action and arcade games.
Crimson Gem Saga, Cladun x2 (if you like dungeon looters), Dissida, Final Fantasy Tactics (if you havent played the original), capcom collection. When you say 'shooters' do you mean FPS ? When I hear shooters, I usually think "shmups."

Dual Shock 3

PSPgo component cable
Optional: PSP 2000/3000 adapter, PSPGo dock

All that combined to give the PSPGo home console ability.
