I love this fightstick I use it all the time. There is nothing really wrong with it and mods what exactly have you tried modded onto it since I have added weights and changed the gate + buttons.

 
Could someone PLEASE tell me why these controllers (or even regular game pads) aren't cross platform compatible with their respective next gens..... Besides GREED! Ughh no reason these shouldn't work with xbox one and ps4.

Simple stuff like that's no big deal but if you want to say swap out the stick for the more popular Sanwa or Seimitsu you're going to be doing some involved modding to make it compatible. It's a solid stick that falls below the TE level Madcatz sticks but above the smaller cheap sticks that most beginners start with.

I'm sure most people that would be buying this won't be going anywhere near that in depth anyway but it's worth mentioning. Like I said I'm getting one of these just because I don't have a PS3 fightstick and it's a world better than anything else that I would consider reasonable.

Yeah I think someone mentioned that they aren't compatible with next gen (which is odd since fightsticks utilize a USB port). If they were compatible, this would be a helluva deal.

Yeah, no controllers are supposed to be even simple USB ones. It is pretty silly when the PS4 controller works plugged into the PS3 but only a few random USB things work on the PS4.

 
I actually bought this bundle when the game first came out and love the fight stick. I sold the game a while back and have been wanting to get back into it, so I bought this. 40 bucks is a great price and it will be nice to have a second fight stick handy. Thanks OP.

There are some interesting mod on that forum to try. (apart from the gate, spring and change of button).

Oh yeah and you can do some nice things with that stick, it's just more work that a lot of the higher end options. I think people are thinking I'm saying this is a terrible stick that you can't do anything with when I'm just pointing out that if someone decided they wanted to make some changes that there's more involved than opening it up and swapping parts. After all I just ordered one online in case they're sold out by the time I can get there to trade some stuff and order it with credit.

Take it to customer service with your ID. Use the store locator on the BBY site to check that they do trade-ins without a receipt because there are some stores that can't take trades except for stuff that was purchased there because of local laws.

If anyone is looking to mod it to a ball top theres a tutorial guide on youtube, it's pretty similar to modding a TE/SE but replacing the whole lever will be hard

I totally forgot that this one also doesn't open from the top which is terribly antiquated and makes it so much more difficult to work with.  Again, minor gripe but it annoyed me watching that video again. :whee:

Damn, I have two MK sticks, along with a Tekken Hybrid one. Not sure I really need another, considering I play fighting games casually. But but... those blue leds just look so cool..

I've been looking for a good cheap beginner fight stick and this one comes with a game so I'm in. I'll have to swap to a ball top though, all those years of playing fighting games in arcades as a kid ruined me.

Mwahaha. Yeah the stick seems to be selling for a decent price on it's own and surprisingly the game new is still selling for more than I expected.

Where did you grow up/how old are you? Most NA arcades 20 years ago were bat tops.

 
Mugen is garbage, jeeze does nobody here play street fighter or marvel? Hit up the srk thread to find about your local tournaments, sessions.

My local town always has tournaments weekly, monthly and  bi-weeklies. Everyone here still plays SF4 and Ultimate Marvel. Can't speak for other fighters such as Persona and SFxTekken, yeah those garbage fighters are dead locally.

Eld was asking about local 2v2,hence MUGEN KOF. I do not know any other fighting game that has local 2v2.

I'm 30 and from the midwest but the local arcade was in the mall and they either had black market cabinets or somebody there modded the vast majority of them.

The first time I was old enough to really understand the difference was when I was in Indiana visiting my grand parents and trying to play in the Aladdin's Castle in the mall in Bloomington.

 
It's only letting me buy one for xbox... Anyone know if this would be interchangeable via USB if I pick up the PS3 one as well? I want a fair two player match lol

You would have to mod the circuit board and usually that's easier going from 360 to PS3 but I haven't paid attention to the options for doing so on this stick.

I didn't have a stick for the PS3 because the 360 was my platform of choice...  until last year when PS+ just started killing it.  I've ended up with all sorts of great fighters on PS3.  This stick fits the bill.  Thanks OP!

 
I was going to get one of these when they were $60 but I found a better stick cheaper. Thats a good deal if you want a cheap stick to get started with.

Wait, you can do that? I can't order stuff from gamestop.com, but if I could go in a store and have them order it for me that'd be handy once in a while.

 
Ugh, bought this for $60 last week... it was just delivered to my house yesterday.  I suppose I will stop in to my local store and see if I can get the price adjusted. Used the stick for a minute last night and found it to be comfortable and appropriate for my needs.  The LED lights are a cool touch.

 
Am I correct that the stick is not wireless for either system?  I know little about fighting sticks, but gather that most are wired only.

Yep, it's wired. Mini-usb to usb on my PS3 stick. The cable is about 10 ft long so it should have plenty of length for most situations

Yeah there some stuff over there that look a little to complicated, but like you said for the price is a nice stick.

I got the PS3 version and work like a charm, and the best part for me, is compatible with PC.

Damn, after reading that thread i want to continue mod my stick. I already made the easy one, time for the more complicated stuff.
