And there are people that lives in states that don't have sale tax like Oregon no matter what. People should just have an idea what store charge tax in their state. Unless it is like play-asia or UK sites that won't charge tax.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Had Mario Golf 3DS pre-ordered already but for 35. I will take the extra 5 and Kirby as well. I don't mind the slower shipping...enough of a backlog anyway.

Will go ahead and pre-order Mario Golf as I've been looking forward to the online aspect of this game for awhile. I can wait on Kirby though.

I'm not big on taxes at all. I pay enough of them as it is locally and to our government every year. Why should I feel bad about not having to pay them yet again through Newegg since I live in NY? Because I certainly don't.

Another couple trillion in plunder should solve those problems.

I know what taxes are for and why they're needed. I'm a tax paying citizen and do my part.. all year, every year. All I'm saying is, I shouldn't and I do not feel bad for not having to pay even more taxes on a specific e-store. It's nice to get a break... for once...

My good friend Google's first response gave me this website: http://www.window.st...us/taxinfo/use/
That website had a link to this form to claim your use-tax: http://www.window.st...orms/01-156.pdf
I don't know if Newegg charges sales tax in Texas; I know they do not here in Arizona (at least as of my last order a few months ago).
Well, that is somewhat enlightening. I can't believe that anyone would actually fill out and submit that form. (That second link has probably got more hits on it today that in the last two years).

Do they bill you now or at launch?
When they convert it to a regular order, just before it ships usually.

Yeah usually newegg will bill and ship 2 days before release or the day before. Mine seems to always get sent out the day before and i get it about 2 days after release.

Tax kills the deal.
...and the fact that it's not an RPG Golf game like the GBC/GBA iterations.

Castle Club looks promising. Hopefully it's hot shots golf just in a mario game.

I would have probably bit on a Mario Golf game for WiiU (assuming they fixed the putting problems Wii Sports Resort had).... but for the 3DS? Forget it.
I'm interested in Kirby, but not quite $30 interested. Make it $25 and I will probably bite.
Thanks anyways OP.

I live in Montucky. Whats sales tax?
Also, after being burned by newegg a couple times, I dont know if I can pre-order from them again. Obviously, they will fulfill these orders, its not a huge HUGE HUGE game but I gotta put my foot down sometime with them.

Can't resist the "tax-free" rant any longer...
It's not tax-free. Period. Newegg is not charging you tax but you still owe a use-tax (I believe these are in nearly every state if not all of them by now) which usually equates roughly to a sales tax. If you don't pay the use-tax you are cheating the government out of monies owed. For God's sake stop using the expression tax-free. You are misleading people into a false understanding of the tax code.

For those of us who pre-ordered Kirby while it was $29.99, is that price locked-in/guaranteed?
Newegg's "Low Price Guarantee" gives me doubt:
"Newegg will monitor your purchase for any price decreases and will honor the final Sales Order price of the item if it is lower than the price at pre-order. Newegg will not honor any other lower amount before that time."
Hrmmm if it's going to be $35, I may cancel pre-ordering altogether. $29.99 was definitely enticing, $35 not so much. On the other hand, the ole' wallet won't be hurting that much between now and May besides looking into getting Mario Kart 8...

Edit:
If anyone is still looking for a deal on Kirby, Dell has the game currently listed at $29.99 with free shipping.
http://accessories.u...k=baynoteSearch
Keep in mind that the free shipping is generally very slow so if you want the game at release this is not the best option. I'm not really in a rush to play the game and I can use the $25 GC I got from the Infamous: Second Son promo Dell had last month.
