CAGiversary!
I admit I support and defend EA on most of their console games, but not on their mobile experiences. For you out there who criticize them at every turn and hope for their doom, it's funny to see these same people talking about buying these games.

So simple question, why do this?

because complaining is free. and this is America, where you are encouraged by the media and political system to embrace hypocrisy?

I don't know, I like to bitch about a lot of things. EA is not really high on that list anymore. The make FIFA, and it is awesome. But in all honesty, people like to complain for 1 of 2 reasons I think-

1. Hopping on the bandwagon of haters, easier to join a club on any internet site than voice your opinion with you wallet.

2. They think that complaining is a valid expression of their opinion, which it is, and that the more they complain that a company like EA might see it and listen.

Look at how MS responded to the Xbone before E3 last year. Complaining worked for change, and I still know people (myself included) whom will not buy another MS console after supporting the 360 for multiple years.

Basically, its takes all kinds. But in short, because we/they/us/you can.

I think that there's a point in time where your principles can be relaxed for a good deal. I tend to just not buy games from EA, Capcom or Ubisoft but I'm not against spending money on an EA Humble Bundle or a PC port of Dragon's Dogma should that ever happen or FarCry 3 during a Steam sale. You can kinda have it both ways if you either purchase the games used or wait for a deep discount.

I mean you're still a hypocrite but at least you're being honest about being one and that's still way better than being in denial, right? :p

I've seen a lot of people complaining about the bugs and server problems in Battlefield 4 and then saying they won't buy Titanfall because it's another EA game... Um, they're from completely different devs? So there's no reason to think that Titanfall will be anything like Battlefield.

I had a great time with Dragon Age II, Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 3, and Kingdoms of Amalur. I hated Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor Warfighter. That's all down to the devs of those games; I don't see any particular significance in the fact they were all published by the same publisher. I'm just going to continue buying games from devs I do like, and avoiding games from devs I don't.

Isn't this their first game? How do you know you like the devs?
Um well if you're talking about PopCap Games, they have been around for a while and have many games under their belt.

If you're talking about Respawn, which I believe you are, they're the old Infinity Ward team, the ones behind Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and MW2. They brought Call of Duty out of WWII and sent shockwaves throughout the industry with explosive campaigns and addictive highly enjoyable multiplayer.

Could you sound anymore like a condescending jerk? Stop acting like one country owns the entire web because It just makes you look like an idiot.

lol, why yes. yes I can be more condescending if I want to. but I wasn't trying to sound that way, I was being a cynical elitist asswipe, so please, get it right :D/

honestly, there is no reason to be all in a tizzy about what I said. I was merely making a remark, which while I disagree with the nature of western culture on a whole lot of fronts, was not anything near what you intended it to be. I don't really understand how you got what you did by taking a quote out of context. regardless, it was a joke. I am sure your opinion matters more than that.

I think it just goes to show that semi-decent marketing can pretty much wipe peoples' memories clean. See anything related to Diablo 3 or CoD boycotts. Or Sim City, or Final Fantasy [insert number here]. Seems like you can't find one good opinion on these games before release, and then sales records everywhere are shattered on the day of.
