The disc version actually had issues with multi-core processors. On my dual core, I had to tie the game process to one core or it crashed. I'd imagine the amazon digital version is probably patched to fix that problem, though.

 
Just to give a heads up it is still working but it took me almost 80 retries. I'm assuming they're drawing from a pool of codes but the used ones are still in the pool and give the error. If that's the case it's just going to get harder and harder to actually get one.

That said, thanks much OP! Somehow I did not actually already own Thief...  ;)

I'd hope we wouldn't have anybody here hoarding digital game codes. It's bad enough dealing with El Hoardo on retail sales.

I'll add in that I've tried multiple times and no code either :cry: It's a damn shame too, I have a backlog but this isn't a game that would've been there for long

Ugh.... that really pisses me off. Now somebody (namely me) who would've actually played this game is gonna miss out so somebody with nothing better to do than hoard codes can try to make a dollar or two (if that, it's a $6 game). Thanks guys :boxing:

I mean shit, I felt really guilty when I took 2 codes for free Enterprise skins/starship on Star Trek Online, even though I nabbed the 2nd code for a friend who wasn't near a computer at the time. I guess some people really will do anything for a buck :cry:

Oh well, guess it's back to waiting for a 75% sale on the Thief bundle.....

I've tried a bunch with no luck. The message says "Try again later" though so I'll keep trying! And to the people who took codes just to sell, you suck! Some of us actually want to play it.

 
Amazon just said they are working to get keys back up. 

Don't do anything foolish like give your money to key hoarders in the meantime. 

 
I see some people selling Thief 2014 on CAG.  It looks like not only are people already trying to resell these but some people are either blind or trying to rip people off even more by claiming it's a game it's not.
