woo! new thread!

Hopefully I can find elsa & anna at the theme parks and not be taken to the cleaners on the price, but we'll see. I also need to somehow convince my son to let me take ownership of his figs. so I can unlock the lightsaber after Phineas/Agent P come out...

Getting the Frozen Pack for $15.00 from Amazon Lightning Deals (via my phone) while I was at my kids Holiday concert back in December was the highlight of my cheap shopping year. Plus, I was a supportive parent by being at the concert as well.

Yeah that was a crazy deal. I had enough reward credit from my Amazon Visa that it was essentially free.

yeah, I'm still kicking myself for missing that one...

Thanks for the thread. Hope bby do a b2g1 free again.
Looks like Target has one coming up on 3/9.

Of course keep in mind that with Best Buy's current price of $8.99 per figure, it's just slightly over what you'd pay during a B2G1 sale. (B2G1 would be $7.99 per figure.)

Best Buy's price on B2G1 with GCU averages out to $6.92 per figure (if they price them at $12.99 per, minus the 20% off the first two,) which isn't far off from what you get right now with GCU this week ($8.99 down to $7.19)

So, you pay 27 cents more per figure now, but don't have to wait to see if another B2G1 comes along.

All of this is based on the Gamer's Club Unlocked membership though.

It's been on itunes to buy since the launch Disney Movies Anywhere. That was about 2 or 3 days ago.
They should delay the DVD release and keep Frozen in the theaters a little longer to make even more off box office sales. Even the sing-along version is still selling out in theaters in my city.

On another note, I hate this trend of releasing movies digitally weeks before they do physically. Then they wonder why physical media sales are slipping?

On topic, does anyone think TRU will do more disc trading events? The in-store deals were pretty good when they did.

I played the PC version of Disney Infinity today. It's much better than the iPad version, but the keyboard controls are not ideal. I'm surprised Disney is giving it away - it's as good as the 360 version and better than the Wii version. Playing on PC makes it even more obvious that they went with the lowest common denominator for textures and images - there are parts of the interface that look great combined with still images that are fuzzy. Hopefully the PS4/XB1 versions of DI2 get better treatment than the Wii version (if there is even a DI2 for Wii).

If you have an Xbox Controller wireless receiver for PC, or a wired Xbox controller, those work with the PC version.

So I just noticed that the "Crystal" Buzz figure apparently popped up in a Toys R Us circular in Canada. Looks like we'll be able to buy him outside of the "Race to Space" pack soon, as I expected all along.

:applause:

Now for the US TRU to confirm it will be sold out here as well.

Don't know if I missed the posts on this or what, but I just ordered the Elsa & Anna figs from TRU and they were B1G1 40% off. and shipping was free for preorders. So, ~$22+tax shipped for the pair. Good deal for those like me, who are only missing these 2.

Did store pick up on Anna/Elsa at TRU.  Was going to buy Ralph since he was $8.99 with prime on Amazon for the last while, came home to use my bing rewards $5 and he was jacked back up.  Oh well.

Yeah, outside of some of the Toys R Us Exclusive discs, there's been no reason to spend MSRP on any of this stuff. The wait continues.

I am still waiting for the right deal. Buy two get one is ok, but I would like to pay a bit under 8 dollars per character.

The Toy Story Playset for $19.99 isn't that bad actually.

Still looking for a complete set of the series 2 discs.

I'm not sure if you can still find them in Target. I can see they don't show the item online anymore. Maybe you can find the UPC and find a way to look which stores might have it.

I bet we'll see something in the future that offers these full album packs (all 3 series) eventually.

Theoretically, you're also qualified for a free Disc Pack based on the second page of the ad, but yeah.
I understand why they set the minimum at $20 to get the discs, and have those sets on sale for $19.99, but I'm hoping they will qualify anyway. Either way, some good deals, and I have some GS credit now, woohoo!

This is an awesome deal on playsets, I'll definitely grab the Lone Ranger playset since that's the one we are missing.

Does anyone know of a way to get a disc-only copy of the game for a reasonable price? I have the set, but my daughter's disc is scratched to the point of unplayability (360 version).

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Contact Disney Interactive via the "Contact Us" link on the Disney Infinity website. They'll hook you up with a new disc for a small fee + shipping, I believe.

I don't know of any way to do this short of searching Ebay, but if you do get a new disc I'd recommend installing it to the Xbox hard drive (or a USB flash drive) to minimize use of the disc. That way the disc only has to be good enough to pass the initial disc check, it won't matter if another part is scratched.

EDIT: And see maximumzero's helpful post above!

Maybe this should be added to the OP? Great tip especially if we confirm with Archaic what the fee/shipping is.

I've also heard of folks successfully getting a Wii U disc from Disney for the folks that wanted to "upgrade" from the Wii to the Wii U version of the game. (The base itself is cross-platform between the Wii, Wii U, and PS3.)

I might just do that, just to have a version for PS3.  What would happen if I used my characters on that one?  Would they be wiped?

Never mind. I was scrolling through the OP fast so my son wouldn't see what I was looking at and missed the link.

I've never seen this in stores...it says it was released Nov 26th, 2013..Anybody in the know on this product: http://disneyinfinity.wikia.com/wiki/Girl_Power_Pack
The general consensus seems to be that it was a fake/photoshop that got picked up as being real. So far there's no indication that it's ever coming out, and all those characters are available individually anyway. If you want all 3 the Gamestop B2G1 deal this weekend should be at least as good as the pack price.

The guy at my GameStop told me if I bought any of those $19.99 sets, I would also get the disc pack. Hopefully that works for everyone.
