It uses moving tab, so, theoretically, it makes it easier for you to eventually transition to using tab - which is the de facto standard for leaning songs or using books... It does a good job.
It's not as pretty as Rocksmith. The "lessons" part sucks - unless you like watching Slash go "tapping? Yeah. I just do this" *cue a wailing 30 second solo that uses 2 hand tapping* "See - its easy!"...
It's worth $30. It's got metal. It's got Hendrix. It's got 10 DLC songs a month. It's better for a guitarist that values getting comfortable with tab.
Rocksmith has hundreds of DLC songs, good lessons and its easier for a beginner.
