***LIMITED TIME PER NINTENDO'S PAGE***

Looks like Nintendo cut the price down to $200 for their refurb Nintendo Wii U Deluxe system bundled w/ Nintendoland. This is about $100 less than if you go out to retail stores and buy new (Yes, I know that would include a bundle.. but Sam's Clubs are still at the $299 price for the Wii U w/ Nintendo Land. Many clubs just aren't clearancing the product now). Pretty good deal, IMO.

Since I'm new to the forum, it won't let me post links.. so if someone could help out, that'd be awesome.

Step by step directions:

-Google "Wii U refurb Nintendo'

-Click the second link

-Give your credit card info over to Nintendo

-Wait for your cheap deluxe Wii U to come in the mail

-Have the time of your life

There have been appearing New Systems and even the bundles for around the same price. Not to mention the ones from Sam's Club

Well, I at least bit the bullet on this deal. :D

Been looking for a Wii U around this price. I've bought refurb stuff from Nintendo before and have always been pleased with the outcome. Beats getting it at a pawn shop or something of the nature. Visited Pawn America tonight looking for one, and they were wanting to give me a "great deal" of only $220 for a white 8GB that looked like someone sneezed on.. haha. No Nintendoland with it either.

OH man, OH man. I don't know what to do. I said once it hit ~200 I was in. I have all these damned Wii U games but no Wii U!! Been holding out for a Sam's Club drop but that probably ain't happening anytime soon. *sigh*

edit: ok, according to the description this is a limited time offer and not the new price.

Man, 200 is my sweet spot, but right now I think I can wait. I'm sure this is in good condition, but I was looking forward to those club points. With the WiiU selling so poorly currently, I'm hoping for a 200 or less deal at some point before the holidays 2014, so I'll just wait a little longer. Good deal though.

Even though it says "Not eligible for Club Nintendo hardware registration Coins", somebody on NeoGAF managed to register one for 160 coins.

It's most likely that the person that had it before didn't redeem it. Nintendo probably just has it there as a disclaimer in case somebody already redeemed the registration code.

Good deal but I don't need it right now. I think I'm going to wait for a nice bundle to come along on a discount in the next year or two.

Does anyone ever truly "need" a gaming system? :)

FWIW, I got one a couple months ago at $275 with NSMBU and I've enjoyed all the games I've played on it. It's a great little system.

Good good, that means the price should be 150 by holiday season and then by this time next year it will be 100

No, no it won't. Nintendo has already said they can't drop the price further without probably posting a fourth straight year of losses. Maybe it will fall to $249 in 2015 I think. They're already losing $30+ from estimations on the new $299 SKU. This refurbed SKU is likely just collecting dust.

Nintendo as a company would rather get the system to be profitable with low sales (a la GameCube, who Nintendo stopped production for six months in 2003 because of low sales) then commit to 2-3 more years of massive losses to get the price down to $199 or less. The only way the Wii U is that cheap soon is if they drop the Game Pad and they've already said they won't do that.

Though they really should redesign the system. Make a smaller, cheaper Game Pad (not one that costs $80 to make, get it down to $40 or less if possible) with cheaper console materials (top loading Wii mini like drive, no Wii BC, fewer USB ports, etc) and they could sell it at a profit at $50 or potentially $100 less than its price right now.

I think Watch Dogs will be best played on the Wii U, but the release has been delayed.

Playing with that tablet with a game like that just seems so appealing to me.

Lol at people thinking nintendo can't lower the price. They probably pull a profit on each console... Unlike sony and ms.
The Wii U uses technology that's a few years old for the most part. Nintendo fanboys have a hard time believing that.

The sales from Newegg , Buy.com ,etc. have been so great that Nintendo doesn't have to drop the price for people to buy it. People could just save $100 or so by buying from one of the aforementioned stores.

I'm still waiting to find that non gamer who wants to get rid of their wii u for $100 or less.

Damn....should I bite? D: Can Wii U owners please give their input? I want one for Project X and Bayonetta but I have a huge backlog as it is....but if the Wii U won't be dropping in price anytime soon I see no reason to not get one now >_<

Truthfully, if you have the money your going to get it anyway but I say wait unless you just wanna add more to your back log focus on the back log, sell it, then buy the system it's not going anywhere you just can't resist a deal

Damn I close to buying one but ill wait till there is a wealth of cheap games available.

I still have my 360 with a huge backlog and now that I working full time (and a part time student) I just don't play games like I wish I could.

But brawl is coming up soon im debating wether it's worth the price of entry, 260 plus a pro controller (even though I am pretty handy with a wiimote).

Do you know guys until when is this? I've checked out the link but I didn't see until when this deal would be! Such an amazing deal.

I ordered it and received mine today. The unit looks basically brand new, complete with all the plastic and all the wrapping you'd expect from a new box. The only way you can even tell that its a refurb is because the box says refurb and the ac adaptor says refurb on it. The copy of Nintendoland is even plastic wrapped. I was even able to register the serial on club nintendo for coins, however thats not going to be the case for everyone. I haven't noticed any scuffs or scratches at all. Its in excellent condition.

So, based on what I received the only way your even going to tell that its refurbish and not brand new is a couple of stickers. However, maybe someone else received something different.

To anyone who ordered, can you give us an update on the condition it arrived in? Scratches or lots of wear?
Got mine today as well. Like someone else, mine is perfect with no scratches and looks brand new. Very satisfied. Haven't tried to get coins yet.
