I have something listed on ebay and I'd like to have it on CAG too

I have a game listed on ebay as a buy-it-now (static price, non-auction) and I'd like to post it in CAG as well. Is this against the rules for CAG or ebay? If this would violate ebay's rule is it the type of rule that is often ignored? Even if it's an ignored rule within the ebay community is it possible that someone here would report me to ebay?

If I listed it here I would offer up what I'd be saving from ebay's 10% fee as a discount. Maybe a bit more since I trust this site more than ebay. Is there a difference between just posting the ebay page link and simply saying what I have and what I would want for it (side stepping ebay)?

CAG gives you a better return than selling on Ebay since you won't be assessed the 10% fee, although it can take a little bit longer to sell depending upon your asking price and demand of the item. I have seen CAGers list auctions that they have on Ebay with an option to make an offer on CAG to sidestep the fees, so I'm assuming that as long as you pull an auction off Ebay before you get a bid or someone decides to buy it now that it doesn't affect you at all, but I could be wrong on that.

I'm tired. Probably going to bed soon. I'll likely list it here in a day or 2 since I'll be busy. Thanks for the advoce.

Disc only is supposed to be listed as Acceptable and nothing above that, from how ebay defines those terms anyway. So many people will list Disc Only and claim a higher term. Not sure it is enforced or even cared about. I wouldn't care except that I know that the moment I would try that ebay would take down my posting with my luck.

No problem with listing something here concurrently with an eBay listing.  There is no penalty with eBay if you take down the listing if it sells here, with the reason that you no longer have the item.  If you have a disc only game, play the rules right and just list it as acceptable, people will buy from your price first and foremost.  Don't worry about eBay removing a listing due to this though, they will only use it as a dispute settlement if a buyer wants to SNAD you.

In terms of actual take home profit from a sale (even after the 10% fee), I still don't think you will get more on here than eBay if you are straight up selling.  Let's be honest, CAG is the home of the patient, shrewd buyer (well, mostly), who will wait for clearance cycles and door busters to get their target price on newer games, and will scour thrift stores, pawn shops, and yard sales for dirt cheap prices on older games.

On the other hand, eBay is full of impulse buyers who aren't concerned with the absolute best price, and will pay for convenience.  Just look at the price disparity on BIN listings vs. auction listings for most games (though some auction listings will come equal to BINs).

If you are trading, then you can certainly get more value on here, if you have a wide interest in the available trade lists.  Also, you will deal with fewer scammers on here than eBay, and building up rep here for trading / selling can be very important, moreso than eBay.
