That is not a puzzle game.  That is a game where you have to carry out the correct procedures in the correct order using the correct item.  Need to cut a rope?  Oh sorry, that axe won't work.  Oh no, that hacksaw isn't going to work either.  Oh nope, that lit torch isn't going to work.  Ah yes, the gardening sheers.  Literally the only thing that can cut a rope in the entire universe.  Using an adventure game to determine someone's puzzling ability is like using a thermometer to figure out which direction the wind is blowing.

Adventure games are the absolute Fuck ing worst.  They're not games, they're more like recipes, you just have to follow a step by step order. I wish they never existed.  They don't belong in the video game genre.  They're a waste of everyone's time.  I'm buying 3 of them from this sale.

This was a great button to push.

of all the telltale games on sale, which one is the best?

It's probably a toss-up between Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max The Devil's Playground, or Back to the Future depending on whether you have any affinity for the IPs involved. BTTF and Sam & Max are better made for newbies to the genre.

Jesus, it's a dollar. Just buy them all. Worse comes to worse you miss out on a Totino's Pizza or whatever.

Bought Braid, Spyro 1-3, Sam & Max 3, Monkey Island, Retro Grade, Retro City Rampage, Plants vs Zombies, Tokyo Jungle. Still have a few bucks left over. Phew. What a sale. I wish Sam and Max 1 and 2 were part of this. My hard drive is really running out of space, and I had to unhook my computer from the crappy internet I have. At least I didn't buy Back to the Future (own it on disc) and Jurassic Park. That would've been hell.

Well, I caved on the Crash and Spyro games. The discs are around the house... somewhere. This is much easier, imo.

Probably only going to get Tokyo Jungle and maybe Gex 2. Any opinions on Sam and Max or Jurassic Park? I heard JP was terrible.

This sale proves that companies can offer whatever garbage they want for whatever price and when they knock it down 90%, people will line up to buy it.

The only thing I purchased was Braid, I'm excited to try it for the first time.

google searching doesn't say anything about the servers going down soon. Also, for 1 dollar. You'll probably get the fun you need out of it before it does. I paid full price and played for about a month. Felt like that was about the correct price to fun ratio for me.

No kidding, I just bought Braid.  What a pile of garbage!  But for $1, I'll apparently buy and eat hipster garbage until I puke!

Sam & Max is very good. JP's utter garbage. Basically, Sam & Max, Back to the Future, and Tales of Monkey Island are the ones worth getting. It's been a good year to stock up on Telltale Games stuff on PS3 as of late. I got those three, World Gone Sour, and Super Stardust HD (and I only just remembered wanting it because I played the heck out of the demo on the Xbox 360.

Beginning to think you're projecting with this "hipster" thing...

Braid is a good game.
