Got an email from Gamestop offering me 5 off a used game 30+.

It is less than 20% being 5/30 which is 16.67% but just in case someone wanted it here it is.

I searched in the forums and didnt see anyone else posting this; if it is duplicate post, please merge/delete as mods see fit.

Here is the image:

I didn't get anything :(. Hell, Gamestop hasn't given me a single coupon for the year I had it other than the new members B2G1 pre-owned. No B-day coupon or anything.

I may try stacking these tomorrow. I got a question about the birthday coupon though.

If you're a PUR Pro member once they slide your card does it show your birthday therefore they know you're bullshitting? I don't recall if I ever gave them my DOB or not.

If you are worried about them finding out your birthday, you can change it in your PUR account settings.

Just give the coupon and that's it.

Not to rain on the parade but I got a $10 off $30 or more pre-owned game. I hadn't been or ordered from Gamestop in over a year.

Just giving others a possible heads up.

Congrats, I hope I have the same luck.

Yep. Retailers always screw people that shop there all the time, and send these out to the people that are barely considered customers... I have 400,000 lifetime points... do I ever get this stuff? NO.

Its the thought that counts.. THIS is the stuff that makes me RIP OFF gamesLop all the time. (coupons, returns, ect).... scum

There's a reason it's sent to people who barely shop instead of regulars. They know regulars are coming back in but people who barely shop they try to entice them to come back in.

Looks like a one time use coupon
You can always tell single use coupons because the coupon codes are usually longer and more complicated than say birthday coupons.

Screw off bro. I've spent a LOT of money there. these coupons seem to go to people that don't even shop there. I'd like to at least be acknowledge by Gameslop. All I get is their crappy advertisements.

This goes for BB too. they do the same thing
That's because you spend a lot of money there. They send offers to people who don't shop their often because they want to turn them into regulars also. I cant imagine how you are surprised by this concept.

Gamestop and bestbuy both are not only the most expensive places to shop in general for the products they sell, but they also only really give you "deals" if you pay them for the privilege of getting those membership "deals". If you don't like them then do what I do, don't shop at them and save money and aggravation.

Mr hat and texastech, what others have said is cold fact. You may not like it, but that's how it is and from a pure business stand point it makes sense. So quit your bitchin

Now if I may play the part of the hypocrite for a sec, why have I never gotten a birthday coupon? THOSE should go out to all PUR members right?

So has anyone actually tried this yet with/without the birthday coupon or is everyone for most part just assuming its one time use?

I agree. If you don't get a coupon from a company then it's morally ok to justify ripping them off.
