So here we go, it's listing time again!

I've been having issues keeping a constant network connection with the Wii U I bought brand new early last year. Regardless, it took me over a year of screensharing and repeated steps to convince Nintendo support that a repair was at least a fairly applicable step, but by then the warranty expired. The 180+ dollar repair price isn't validated for me since I never really use it for anything other than Netflix nowadays anyway. Even getting a wireless to ethernet receiver and the Wii U LAN adapter would be more than I think I'm willing to spend on a Wii U.

So I'm selling it pretty cheap with all the games on it! I'm talking Earthbound, Pikmin 3, tons of NES and SNES classics, Wii Sports U Tennis, all that good stuff, and of course, Nintendoland. If anybody wants to buy it for $275, you can find it here:

Also, as another note, this comes with three wii remote pluses and a nyko charge stand, in case your low on wiimotes.

These digital purchases are tied to your system AND your Nintendo Network ID.. So someone buying this from you won't be able to play any of the games.

Are you sure? I thought it was just tied to the hardware, if I'm correct they didn't implement a system to tie the software to the account yet.

But I could be wrong, I don't know. If that's the case, I'll remove this post.

Edit: Actually, I'll just give whoever buys it my NNID. I don't use it anyway. XD

I sold my Wii U and the new owner wasn't able to access any of my content. A year later I bought a new wii u. I called Nintendo, they re-assigned my purchases to the new serial #, and I was able to re-download all of my old content to the new device.

So, despite common perception, I definitely don't think it is like the old days where the license to digital purchases is completely contained on the device itself. Nintendo has full purchase history, tied to your nintendo network id.. I think they just use the device serial # as additional DRM to keep you from installing on multiple devices simultaneously.

But handing over the nintendo id to the new owner should take care of the problem.

Sorry, I didn't mean to threadcrap your sale post here but I wanted to spare you and your buyer a potential headache after you had already shipped the thing out.

Hahahaha oh yes. Used it once or twice for Earthbound, pulled it out a bit during parties for Nintendoland, and then never again. XD

Edit: And the game that's hidden by the little "F-Zero" bubble is Kirby's Dreamland 3. :D My Wii U has a few small extra stuff, like Injustice DLC, as well.

From what I understand, it will provide constant internet, just at slightly lower speeds due to USB speed limitations. Although I apologize, I have a ps3 already. Thank you for the offer though!

You're very welcome! I hope you'll be able to find a Wii U, especially one that doesn't have network issues for maximum internet speed. I just honestly think Nintendo didn't put the most stable hardware in the console, since I've had friends who've had other random issues with theirs.

Yea, this isn't the first WiiU I've heard of with network issues. Nintendo usually has really sturdy hardware to so this is new with this system.

Definitely. When network issues are this bad on a network-oriented console, that's when you know something's seriously up. I can deal with the lack of games as of late, and the meh VC schedule, but when the actual hardware isn't up to snuff, I'm usually done. It's a shame too, I really love Nintendo and everything they've done over the last twenty five or so years. But the Wii U was a disappointment for me.
