The Online Store is Closed until May 9th Including the option to purchase any items including the refurbished items they sell. It Was Online Up Until about 20 Minutes tonight.

Upon going to Nintendo store http://storeoffline.nintendo.com/offlinemaint.html are greeted with this:

Nintendo Online Store is temporarily unavailable until May 9, 2014, as we upgrade our systems. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to serving you again soon.

Nintendo Systems Upgrade Status

The latest status on Nintendo’s system upgrade and impacted services.
Information:
We are upgrading our systems to improve the services and support we offer. Beginning April 28, 2014, Nintendo will be migrating to new systems. Throughout this process, some services may be intermittently unavailable either online, to our Support Specialists, or both.

We are working to make this transition quick and to minimize any impact it may have on support service downtime. This page will be updated frequently to provide real-time information on any impacted services. Please check back frequently.

Status Update: 4/25/14

Check Order Status:

  • Order status information is currently available and your order will continue to be processed and shipped during our system upgrade. Updates on that progress in our online tool will freeze and be out of date as of April 26, 2014.

If you sent in your order but it was received by Nintendo after April 25, the status will continue to show "Due In." Your order will continue to be processed even though the status will not be updated in our online tool.

Orders take about 10 days to process once they are received by Nintendo. Once shipped, orders can take up to 5 days to be received.

Club Nintendo:

  • Physical goods orders for Club Nintendo are currently unavailable. Please take advantage of our great selection of digital products and promotions during this upgrade process. Physical goods orders that are currently in-process will continue to be fulfilled and shipped while are systems are upgraded.

Club Nintendo Physical Awards Are Offline until May 13th

I wonder what kind of update this is. I hope they are retooling their online system to make it like Sony and Microsoft. Despite having a 3DS, I have bought nothing digital for it because of their ancient system.

Oh, so that's what being a CAG is all about. I've been doing it wrong.

Edit: I let you down, Cheapy!
Sorry I couldn't give you the inside info before the store closed. Future reference though...

Hmm...hope they add Paypal as an option of payment.  It would have been nice if you could still browse through the available items in the store though.  Was thinking about buying a bunch of 3DS empty cases to transfer all of my DS games. Then use my DS game cases for my loose GBA collection.

This ties in exactly with Japan's Golden Week. Everybody stops working for about 11-14 days here in Japan. So I HIGHLY doubt it's because of upgrading the servers. How do I know? Currently in Japan now, and Nintendo is stationed in Kyoto.

If they finally bring that SNES classic controller to Club Nintendo after I imported one from Japan, I'll be pretty mad, but then again, I'll finally have something to spend my hoard of coins on.

It still says they're taking orders again on May 13 for me.  I hope they add more and actually give us some options.  I have 1,200 points to use, no idea when they expire.

The funniest thing about this thread is watching you unfunny losers trying to make jokes.
Someone attempting to be funny will always outrank someone attempting to be a douche.

And if you cant understand why so many people are cracking jokes in this thread then you should delete your CAG account and never come back to this site again.

Where you getting the racism from, just wondering ?
Negroid, mongoloid, and caucasoid are phenotypes that are no longer used except by racists. Negroid obviously has many derivatives that are considered racist but somehow mongoloid means "retarded" and that's okay with people?

Even if you use these terms in the original way in your daily life, he was using the term mongoloid as "retarded".

Wow, Caucasoid is a thing ??

Sounds like some kind of funky robot.

"I had to get a new Scarlett Johansson Caucasoid, that crotch unit has a lifetime guarantee but I wore it out in 3 days"

Thanks for the learning.

My local Target had 4 Nintendo Online Store Closed's.  Took one and left three for other CAG's.  It's the store on the corner of wrongthread and notadeal.

I'd make a joke about Nintendo having to close down cause they lost all our personal info a la PSN, but then again I know that's already happened (in Japan anyways).  Besides, that would imply that somewhere out there is somebody who uses the eshop, and that can't be right.....

Maybe they are just giving up?

Seriously though, does anybody use the Nintendo online store at all?  It just looked like a bunch of overpriced "refurbished" crap that could be had cheaper new during a good sale

I heard they had to replace the hamsters that run their servers.

I don't think they are quite on hamster tech quite yet. Hell, sometimes I question if Nintendo has even mastered fire.

I mean even those Geico cavemen have smartphones with true accounts and successful online interface rofl

So what does that make us?
