Guess we know who from Ep 4-6 will be showing up in Ep 7 with this cast list.

Makes me curious to see who Andy Serkis and Max Von Sydow will be playing in Ep 7.

 
I say they should push it back a few more months to say around the time SvB and CA2 come out....just to piss off the other studios....but then Spiderman 3 will have to move to around that date. 

It's never been done before...putting so many highly anticpating movies on the same weekend....I say hollywood should do it....they are all going to make money.

I think that since there is SO much of that shit out there, they couldn't figure out how to properly integrate it into the new trilogy without upsetting the fans. Honestly they should go with the Thrawn Trilogy.... But I am sure Timothy Zahn wants a shit load of money for the rights to it.

I dunno, Fisher, Hamil and Ford need to get back into shape....their bodies aren't doing so well these days. If Luke is suppose to be a Jedi Master then he better get to the gym asap.

 
Jedi specialize in baggy clothes, so as long as he doesn't have a beer belly a stunt double can do all the hard work.
 
As far as the EU, I've read a few EU books, remember JJA wanted a fresh start for ST(that he didn't needed if he wanted a clean slate, he could have just jumped another 100 years like TNG), and SW has an EU a much more fragmented EU than ST I believe.

Any of you SW fanboys know of a good place to find interest for a star wars (expensive) collectable I'm selling?

I have it one eBay but the I believe I have an issue of no one knowing what the shaq-fu it is.(#4 of the 125 signed first/ gigantic-size edition The Blueprints book)

I've sold a few mass effect litho's that got WAAAY more views than I'm getting.

I can understand why some are upset. 5 out of 6 of his latest TV series were cancelled within 2 years(four of those 5 were within one year), and his last two movies angered the fanbase of a huge sci-fi franchise for taking it away from its roots.

But that said, he has always claimed he is a huge SW fan and is very afraid to do it wrong.

I'm sure a lot of fanfic writers say similar things before making Han and Luke make out. It's not reassuring.

Teaser trailer up..................  um... this looks kinda fake...

when comparing it to TPM teaser , the TPM teaser looked a lot better and got me more excited...yeah I know you guys hate TPM and the prequel trilogy. But honestly it looks like it was a fan made trailer.

Do you even know the difference between teaser and trailer? TPM was a trailer, TFA was a teaser. TFA wrapped filming not too long ago and the movie is a year away, the footage in the teaser is probably all the footage that was available to use. It's pretty laughable you said this looks fake and fan made. Ok dude.

TPM had a teaser trailer...then a trailer, and another trailer. TPM's teaser had more punch then this one.

Have you ever seen a star wars fan film? some look god awful and others look pretty good...but the teaser trailer has a fan film feel to it.... like it was shot on video...

I am not trying to kill the movie before it comes out, but man that teaser was super weak.

What you linked was a full blown trailer. Teasers aren't supposed to really tell you anything, just give you some quick shots from the film.

All these are samples of teasers that either gave me the chills or got me pumped up for the movie.   Even JJ's Star Trek 2009 teaser was more exciting than this. 

Who knows, if the rumors hold out , we might see a first trailer infront of the new Hobbits movie..and on line next month.

I'm not even a Star Wars fan and I think this movie looks like it's going to be great. Makes the last three look even shittier than you remember.

For a TEASER this got me pumped! I got chills and we didn't even see any of the original characters... That music with the Falcon flying is just perfect
 
I am just thinking back to the post-productions of Episodes 1 thru 3.....  Didn't it take 2 or 3 years for them to make each movie?  Honestly I wasn't *blown away* by the effects as much as I am a fan of ILM... it was sub par compared to what they produced before.  That falcon shot could have easily been done on a weekend.  I have seen the special effects for the LOTR movies and it shows the extra time they put into it is worth the wait.

It took 2-3 years to make cause every f'n scene was green screen. They were basically making a computer movie with actors in it.

Not all of it was green/blue screen... wasn't 300 mostly that but took less time?

When the Episode 1 trailer came out, lots of grown men woke up, turned on their computer and 32k connection, and watched it obsessively as if it was going to be the greatest thing ever. At least that's what I read in a Time Magazine back then. Undoubtedly there will still be people like this, even with the disappointment that is Ep. 1-3. Personally? I don't care. I'm still shocked by the fact that JJ Abrahams was allowed to make both franchises, which is another issue anyway regarding the state of the movie making business.

 
I think am looking more forward to the eventually Mr.Plinkett review of it. Hell his reviews of the prequels were better than actually films!
