i'd buy this for $5, if it went on sale for 360, but they've been stingy with the decent sales on omega and the other reunion type dlc.

ps3 owners might have a game that looks and runs worse on their console, but they've got a free bit of dlc to enjoy. me so jelly

I went on PSN just now and downloaded eight different free ME3 DLC's. And my queue is downloading around twelve items, including a few doubles... LOL. Is all this DLC supposed to be free? I don't even have ME3 yet but there's no way I'm missing out on this! xD

A lot of the MP DLC is always free, it's the SP stuff that has the big price tags.

Nobody knows. Its a 15$ DLC for free. If your stairs are that big of a hurdle, there might be bigger issues at play

cool thanks. Quick question. Do I need to play the first game in the series in order to understand #2 and beyond? Want to know before the GS b2g1 happens. BTW thanks OP.

Will finally be able to play through this again after switching to playstation. I don't feel so bad since I already bought it retail on 360 ;) I've been wanting a Mass Effect DLC sale on PSN. Thanks a TON OP. Probably won't have seen this otherwise.

If you can play ME1 first, I would absolutely recommend it, but it's not required. An interactive graphic comic will catch you up on what you missed in ME1 (on ps3). I wouldn't cheat yourself out of the enjoyment of playing the first one first though.

well ass holes, i fucked up my hands and have been sitting here with meicine/creme on them for the last 40 mins or so. Couldn't really go down and grab a controller with that now could i? Its been long enough so i can go check after putting gloves on. THats why i wanted to just wait till tomorow. Its too bad this isn't for Xbox live, i probably wont be playing this on ps3

Sounds like a good time to work on learning to use a controller with your feet!

As someone who started with ME2 I can say you'll likely appreciate the overall story and understand more by playing the first. But I wouldn't say it's necessary.

If you aren't playing it on PS3 then check tomorrow when you don't have lotion on your hands.

Stop masturbating and spend the 30 seconds it'll take to check.

I must be a mad man, since i am a part of a group of people that own a series of games across multiple platforms. Thinking on it makes me realize how much i truly enjoyed the journey that these franchises took me on.

I had the games on my 360, which felt like it took forever to beat and a plethora of dlc. None of it was for mass effect 3, since i never got to take part of a sale. This series is marks a rare statement that purchasing the dlc is almost a necessity, it depends on how far the rabbit hole you want to go.

Taking Mass Effect as a whole, the game was good and the story was pretty damn fantastic. As for skipping a game, i wouldn't recommend it. For example if i wanted to replay mass effect, i would always start from the beginning. Yes, you can play the interactive story things to get some of the story. The thing you loose out on is attachment, at least that is my perspective.

I am not going to say that people that played only 2 and 3 are less of fans, but there was some nice bits and inside things you may have missed. EX and very vague

Spoiler

This also goes for people that didn't like a story, character or whole thing. There is nothing i like more then details/elaboration, especially more then "It sucked" "Awful" etc.

I was looking for a reason to play the trilogy on ps3 and now i found it.

Victory is not about winning battles, its about how long it takes for the person beating you to give up.

Did you use those gloves of yours to type or you typed with your nose?

On topic, I imagine this dlc is not included with the trilogy? Still got the Trilogy sealed ...

Unfortunately no. You get most of the core DLC for the first two though, barring Arrival.

I'd definitely move this towards the top of your backlog. I had that feeling about this series too. Left it sitting around for eight months until April. Haven't played anything since Mass Effect 1

Wow really cool glitch, too bad it's not for 360 as that's one of the few DLC I passed on due to price.

To be fair, it's the weakest piece of ME3 DLC.

Thanks OP. Also wish this was for 360 (since that's the version I own), but I'll tag it in-case I get a PS3 copy at some point.

Thanks OP, grabbed it, still have the mass effect trilogy sitting in my backlog unopened, so this DLC will be great if/when I actually get around to playing it, and if a next gen version isn't released like has been rumored.

Thanks op. Glad I bought me3 for the ps3 when my bb clearanced it out. I was originally going to wait for a clearance on the trilogy instead of buying me3,but looking at my backlog (which includes me2) and after doing a lot of research on the merits of the 1st (general consensus seems to be that you can skip me1 bc its gameplay is dated, though a very vocal minority insist it shouldn't be skipped bc they feel it has the best story of the bunch) I decided that it would be a miracle if I actually finished me2 and me3 so no need to add me1 to the backlog pile.
