Everything that happened was white noise. Sales of the games are not going to be affected either way. Fire him, don't fire him, the financials wouldn't be affected either way. Consumers won't change their habits. It's just a guy and his job.
Why do I feel like this would have been quietly swept under the rug if they had not fired him. Now there's more potential for backlash against turtle rock for violating freedom of speech.
I looked at his Twitter page and he seems to be pushing some new product, so maybe he got back on his feet. He never apologized, which is what I admire.
