Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The game looks pretty and I'm a sucker for the whole PMC concept, but this looks like a Titanfall wannabe with the mech's and the overall visual direction.

Take it for what it's worth.....I've never been a CoD fan.  Don't worry, I won't linger in this thread, just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

idk haven't enjoyed cod since mw2. I really like the pmc story, probably one of the only people who enjoyed the army of two stories. I like Kevin Spacey, looks like a good bad guy character, but I know it will be the same old call of duty. Will rent it if I like what I see over the next few months.

I thought the trailer was great, and next gen graphics looks OK. Not mind blowing.

With that said, after Titanfall and time I've put in it I can't go back to COD. Especially after the train wreck that was COD Ghosts.

However, with that said, I am going to give Sledgehammer the benefit of the doubt and keep all ears/eyes open and see how this one reviews. Theres no way I'm buying another COD at launch though.

Interested in seeing what Sledgehammer does...it can only be better than Ghosts.

As far as the rest -- the story looks ridiculous, more US landmarks blowing up, rinse and repeat. Hopefully the MP level design is decent, I've given up on the SP campaigns being anything but absolutely mindless time-filler in this game.

Looks cool and Kevin Spacey absolutely killed it in that trailer. I skipped Ghosts because it looked so dull but I'm interested in this.

The single player in Ghosts (sans the story going a little overboard) was actually pretty good.

The MP is easily forgettable in an already stale MP.

To those complaining about the suits. Really?!?! The guys in CoD could carry around and RUN with mini guns, LMGs and rockets. Take a bullet to the head and live. Etc etc. at least an exosuit would explain some of it. The full body suit is no different then a juggernaut suit that's been here for 4 iterations

As to the wall climbing, IF it makes it to the MP then I assume it will only be select areas (basically like a ladder). Or possibly a perk that let's you access certain small areas (ie a sniping perch that you need the grippers on to get to or) or if you have the perk on it allows you to access short cuts throughout the map. I highly doubt it would be titanfall parkour

Looking forward to it. I suppose I'm one of the few who still likes COD. I keep finding it fun to play.

I wonder how they landed Kevin Spacey
Money.

I will try this game out for the campaign as it looks like typical, summer blockbuster fun. Curious what they do outside of campaign and multiplayer. Will spec ops come back? Something else?

Great to see a shooter finally use the subtitle with "Advance War" in it.  Crazy that no one has thought of it before.

I'm super excited to play this.

Ghosts felt lacking but I still have fun running around.

This game looks feature packed count me in!

I'm interested in seeing what Sledgehammer does for this one. I really hope they make it a crazy fun online experience that's different from past CoD games. I'm all for change and I hope they do it.

Anyone else hear about the Day Zero edition?

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2014/08/11/call-of-duty-advanced-warfare-pre-orders-get-you-into-the-game-early.aspx

Anyone who pre-orders and anyone who orders the collector's edition will get to play the game one day early AND earn double XP. so does that mean we get to pick them up from the store one day early? That's what it sounds like because it doesn't mention this only applies to digital copies.
Yeah that's what they said on the stream that you'd be able to run out and pick up your copy early. Additionally the Day Zero Edition includes two weapons (AK-12G Assault Rifle, CrossBow B2) and a Bullet Brass Exo Decoration. They also announced that if the Day Zero edition isn't available at your retailer of choice you'll be able to get a refund for the preorder and a voucher for the day zero content.

Thanks! I can see a lot of people complaining about how they didn't receive their online/shipped preorders on the right day. Guess we should all preorder at Kmart for shipping to get a free game. Lol.

I really liked what I saw from the gameplay presentation. The gameplay looks faster than normal and I really like the new mechanics and options the Exoskeleton creates.

It's definitely back on my preorder radar but I can't 100% say I will preorder it since Halo is coming out in the same month and that might be enough full priced purchases for me, especially considering Black Friday won't be far away.

Blech This looks even worse than Ghosts.  I had already preordered it and will probably buy it like a sheep but the trailer did nothing to endure me to the game.

ghost issue was mostly spawning issues that has yet to be fixed and the maps just sucked hard to tell that stuff on stuff from today. With that said im hearing great things from forums that people who played mp today about how it plays alot like bo2 which is great seeing in my mind that's the best cod since mw2.

On second thought I'll probably end up preordering this. I forgot Best Buy has the $10 Certificate promotion and there's always the 20% off...I can't see it going below $40 for awhile.

Site has a ton of gameplay videos. Make sure to set them to 1080p otherwise they look pretty bad. Graphically there's a noticeable difference over Ghosts but it doesn't look considerably better.

Game looks amazing. I play COD competitively so I'm so ready for Ghosts to be over with and AW to get here. With them properly supporting competitive the way Treyarch did with BO2, I'm ready for a new refreshing experiance!

Yeah they've essentially pushed up their release day to be a day earlier on Monday now. It'll be interesting to see how many Day Zero editions there will be. For Ghosts, basically every retailer got the launch day bonus DLC. For this version, I wonder if it'll be the same. That would mean all retailers would be selling the game on Monday (i.e. TRU, Target, etc.).

Also, if you look on Amazon, the release date is showing as Monday, November 3rd. I'm leaning towards preordering this for Day 1 (or should I say Day Zero hahah), but it may depend on how preoccupied I get with all of the other holiday games. If I can fit the time, I'll pick this up for sure.

I'm excited getting my ass kick on XBOX one. I'm suck on every shooters but still enjoying it and don't care about K/D Ratio.

Sledgehammer upset alot of people the other day by announcing their co-op as Survival (basically what we saw in MW3) after a 3yr development

I dig MW3's survival over Zombies or aliens. AI enemies that don't just walk/run at me are more of a challenge.

looks like bo2 omggg im sooooo ready.

lets hope we can play onlinethat stupid lizard squad is back with new members after some old ones was arrested and plan on taking servers down for every major online game this fall they just did it this past weekend on destiny and ghost

looking forward to this game. Enjoying destiny a ton but will be fun to play something different. I have the 3rd and 4th off, hoping BB gets my big edition to me on the 3rd

I did pre-order since I usually play COD and BF it but it reminds me of Halo and it wasn't much fun at all so this might be an early trade in.

Interesting that the Xbox is blocking a disc install for this game. I was able to play Sunset Overdrive real early without any issues. This one just won't install. I am sad.

Working thankfully now. It plays like, Call of Duty, but it feels a little faster like Titanfall (definitely moves faster, double jumps and exo-suit capabilities). It does definitely feel like Call of Duty, which can be good or bad depending on if you expecting a big change or not. The character models look pretty, but the environments still feel incredibly static and boring (which is nothing new for this series). Scripted events add a little bit of depth, but otherwise I'm very disappointed that the world doesn't feel more immersive.

Online is very much the same. Though can't play too many matches since there aren't many other people playing the game yet.

There was one update for AW about a week ago for around 200MBish. Now there is another one that popped up tonight for 81MB. Getting all the kinks worked out I hope.
