Huh, looks like I dodged a bullet trading in another $300-worth at ~4pm EST.

System is down again. I'm done wasting my time with Target. It's just not meant for me to trade my games

My Wii game was rejected for scratches today. The disk was lightly scuffed at worst. But I did dump 2 Gamecube games, Zelda and Mario for 60$ total. And before anyone lectures, I checked eBay and I would have lost a little with fees, postage and packaging. And lets not forget about time and douche bag ebay buyers.

This is such BS the system will probably be down every day this week just as people get out of work lol

Are you fucking kidding me? Unbelievable. Two days in a row this shit happens. No point in going there when I get out now.

I just tried a trade in transaction using the online trade in program and it works just fine.   I don't know the exact system set-up but the error occurs while applying the agreed upon purchase value to a gift card.  I would hardly think Next Worth would have anything to do with that.  Instead they manage the game listings and values and Target would be responsible for this. This really doesn't pass the smell test and it appears this error is on purpose by Target (perhaps buyers remorse).  If it was a real computer bug it shouldn't be that difficult to work though and should have been fixed by now (a critical system flaw sure would be by now).   Having worked there, I can confidently say purposely causing the appearance of a system error is the incredibly shady type of business practice Target would do.  It's funny because people rag all day on Walmart but Target may be worse as far as how they treat their customers (guests, excuse me) and employees.  They just manage their image a little better.   Anyways a truly legitimate company would honor something like this even if they are losing money because of people abusing the system.  They could simply instruct Next Worth to tank the values of all games and they have nothing to worry about.  Instead they are hiding behind computer errors.

I really hate how some people think that the manual = artwork. And the reason for this is because somehow the "original case" includes the "cover".

I'm guessing hackers or it shuts down when target has issued a certain money total of cards to prevent massive profits loss.

Congrats to anyone who was able to make trades. I can no longer play these games with Target.

That's what I was thinking too. I wonder if there is a cut off per day. Would explain why the online trades still work, just not at Target.

Just got back from a Target in Florida, got through the whole process but it wouldn't let her give me the gift card cause the system had gone down. She was really nice, I got her direct number to give her a call tomorrow to check if the system is back up. I can vouch for the gift card having to be used at that time in Florida. Hoping Forza 5 doesn't take a hit cause I want that $42 yes please.

How are people accumulating so much credit when most of the games that give most credit are next gen or wii u

It's too bad some can't get their gift cards. Tinfoil hats are on sale this week.

anyone else think it's weird that you only get the triple credit in-store? why even have the option to trade-in online if you don't even get the promo?

also, went to a Target around 1:30 and started my trade-in and right when he needed to scan the gift card, it would not work. he tells me to wait 1 hour and he'll "see what he can do." needless to say, I did not wait. I'll be calling him quite often today to see if he gets the gift card working. thankfully i have a receipt of my transaction in case the trade-in prices change. I had no problem yesterday doing my trade-in, but today seems to be a much different story :(

I'm just irritated because I got to the store at like 3:45 and the guy had just gone on lunch and wouldn't be back for about 40 minutes.  I figured I could drive to the store 15 minutes down the road and then come back and hit that store on the way back.  >.<

Just watch it go down at about 4PM EST tomorrow.

Mobile guy only works 2 to 8. System goes down at 4 or 430. Again.

I've already been to Target twice today. This is really, really annoying.

So far I'm shooting blanks.

Sunday wife wanted me to fix the lawnmower.

Monday went with wife and the freaking Mobile guy called in sick.

Today wife tried and system's down.

Guess I'm stuck with a bunch of used games!

Anyone considering a career change after reading the hours/lunch breaks Target Mobile employees get? I mean, I have a Master's degree, but...

the fact it has happened after 3 pm again means that if its hackers, their probably under 18.

I think the Mobile guy at my store also took a late lunch, though he came back at 3:45 or so.

BTW, don't forget to check your store's clearance section for games while you're there--I found a copy of Pokemon White 2 for $10.48!

I think I got lucky and got through without incident.  Traded AC4, Killzone, and BF4 for the PS4 as well as GTA5 for a total of around $178 in cards.  What sucks is that prices seem to be affected by the hour as a lot of these had higher base values when I looked this morning.  I figure it's well worth it since I got sick of AC4, Killzone was a bust, and I'll be able to pick up BF4 again for 1/2 the price in no time.  Also, with GTA 5 coming to the PS4 I would have made that purchase anyway, now I have money for Batman and the potential PS4 version of the ME triliogy (gotta love the Vita remote play).

I'll call around seven, maybe it'll be back up.

I'm sure my games will decrease by a third

got back a little while ago. The guy went through the whole process (which was very long since the guy didn't see to be familiar with the system/promo) and the card wouldn't activate. He took down my info, but I'll probably just swing by tomorrow since I have off this week

System was down but the guy took my games and had me sign a paper so that my trade in values would be locked in. He said the problem is that it just doesn't allow him to process the gift card. He said I can come back with my games when the system is back up and they will process the gift cards for my lock in trade in values.

Lucky SOB! I went to about 5 stores looking for that a couple weeks ago.
