YMMV but some CAGs have reported their copy of the game came with a free "The Last Story" Premium Soundtrack.

Includes: an 80-page hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD containing 25 songs, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ add-on content pack containing bonus in-game goods including ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an alternate costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty, and an entire additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian.

Killer Is Dead is the latest title from the demented mind of celebrated game creator, SUDA51, serving as a spiritual successor to his previous cult favorites, No More Heroes and Killer 7. Stylish cell-shaded visuals set the mood in this gritty, bloody, ultra-violent world where biomechanical augmentations increase the power of criminals and "executioners" alike. Mondo Zappa, a newly recruited executioner, hunts criminals wielding a Japanese sword in his right hand, and the crushing power of biomechanical engineering in his left.

Updated the OP with the Frys Xbox 360 link. Credit to Dreamer131313

Included Hastings links too. It's 20.58 shipped if you live in a non tax state.

Just got this from Gamestop, they have the LE at this price as well.
Isn't that YMMV? Or has there been a restock / reprint? I couldn't really see this edition of the game getting reprinted. Also, when you bought yours did they have more than one / was it gutted or did a gutted copy exist? Thanks for the info btw.

frys electronics also have the LE at $19.99 it is the new msrp and I believe all the copies made were in fact all limited editions but Im not 100% cause it only had one print run I believe and every single copy of the first run were confirmed as limited edition

Amazon and other places sell regular editions. Even when I bought mine awhile ago it was a standard edition.

I believe you :) Just letting you know there are non LE editions in the wild. Which is weird to me that all of these are now popping up. When maybe a few months ago it was hard to find them. Maybe the "LE" drove enough sales to have them reprint and restock retailers. There were a bunch of people ordering them from Gamestop and depending on the distribution center you either got the LE or didn't.

Anyone have version preferences?

EDIT: I'm sure they do, but are there factual reasons that one platform may be better than the other? Thanks.

OP, you might want to revise what you said about Hastings... they didn't send him the wrong game, they sent a "new" copy, meaning it was opened, disc removed, contents put on the shelf for display.

In Hastings defense, the "new" copy I received was in perfect shape, unlike GS's "new" copies.

Got it in the mail today. Xseed tossed in free copy of "The Last Story" Soundtrack with the game. :)

Just got my copy in the mail today. Came with a free The Last Story premium soundtrack.

Nice. Do they always include free gifts? It's my first time ordering from them.
I've ordered from them a few times and no, they don't.

Just finished the game (I got it a while back from GS for $20), really liked it. Camera can be a little annoying but nothing a little manual on-the-fly adjustments won't fix.

If anybody wants the LE contents only, PM me.

Ordered Monday, arrived yesterday. Came with a free promotional soundtrack for The Last Story.

I paid $20 for the game and it cost them $9.97 to ship it to me. Seems crazy to me when Media Mail exists, but whatever.

I didn't play Killer 7 and No More Heroes (I know, stop staring at me like that).

That said, if I played and really enjoyed Lollipop Chainsaw, will this fit the bill too?

This one is much more "artistic" then LC. Personally, I'm not a fan of the art they used in it, but my fiancé is. The game does feel very similar, though I think it is a bit easier then LC.

I really really enjoyed the art style, game play was good with a few hiccups.

I could not for the love of Suda figure out what the story is about. I get leaving somethings unexplained, but that does not mean just going balls out on a nonsense main story line. Shadows of the Damned did a much better job, although there are craziness in the details, but at least I can know what is going on in a general sense.

Or I'm just dumb.

An underrated game.  Picked this up over the holidays last year for this price (it hit $20 on AMZ briefly after being out only a month).  Interesting how Suda51 is hardly mentioned as being involved in this one, as if his name became more of a liability than an asset.

KID is sort of like a strange mix between No More Heroes and Killer 7, but with far better looking ladies.  Having played and enjoyed LC, I do think that remains  Suda's best game to date, though NMH2 is a close second.  SoD never did it for me, and NMH1 was an unrealized and frustrating game.

I do hope Suda stays involved with games, though I figure the general lack of commercial success with his games likely means anything we get in the future is going to be hamstrung by a limited budget.
