It says 150 in the ad too, but the small print says 100
It's a minimum of $100, and then you get a $50 off coupon towards an Xbox One. The systems seem to get a $110 trade in. So it's basically $160 as long as you buy a one. Better for those who want a Xbox One promo as opposed to a PS4 promo from GS.

Ya, I bet Microsoft is selling them cheaper to best buy so they can run promotions like this to boost xbox one sales. I just can't consider selling my 360 because the xbox one isn't backwards compatible

According to the fine print, it has to be either a PS3 slim model or a "Xbox 360 250 gb model".

And they're still giving away free games if you have Live Gold. Regardless of the promotions, I don't think I'll trade in my 360 until a good portion of my friends have fully gone next gen and I'm ready to call it quits on the 360. I don't see that happening this year at all. Maybe mid-2015...?

Sooo a little on-topic, a little off-topic... does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do with two busted (RROD, seals broken) fat 360s that I've been sitting on since they croaked a couple years ago?

Craigslist is uber-sketchy around here--like many places, I assume--so that's not an option. Ebay's out since shipping will kill any money someone's willing to give me for them. And really, I'm about ready to just hand them into one of those Electronic Recycling drives.

Not too bad of a deal, but I don';t understand why someone would abandon last gen this early. Still have a good 2ish years before both systems stop getting exclusive games (mainly the PS3) and neither the PS4 or X1 are backwards with your older games. Also: Dat backlog.

Bestbuy was giving $100 for ANY working 360 a while back. Some said they never checked to see it was working, others said they just wanted to see it turn on. If you could get these to work even temporarily you could be sitting on something if they do this promo again.

If they're broken, they're not really worth anything unless they're easily fixable.

Well, they power on but certainly they don't "work" by the base definition. I bought them off ebay during the big "fixing RROD is EZ!" boom from quite a few years ago--when the first one worked for 7 months right out of the box, I just lost all motivation to do anything with them beyond that. /coolstorybro

I'm not even looking to get money out of them, I would just like to unload them. I guess Electromic Recycling Day it is.

Best buy will take electronics for recycling if you want to ditch them. Maybe by some miracle it works that day and you can get a $50 coupon off an Xbox one. Then you can sell the coupon or give it away for good karma.

Myabe I should try this. Mine is a 360 S with a 120GB HD I put in myself from an older 360.

Which one is the S model? Is that the 2 tone Xbox One looking one?

I traded in a fat 250gb with one wireless controller for $110, then got the coupon for $50 for the Xbox One.  As stated above, my store did not even test the unit, just looked to make sure everything was there and the system looked nice enough to put it as "good condition".

So they wouldn't even know that mine wasn't a 250gb right? hehe

Can multiple $50 off coupons be used for a xbox one? Will I be able to return the xbox for a full refund?

I have a 320GB (i think its larger) - if I give that with my E 4GB model, there shouldn't be any problems, right?

I just read through the fine print, and for the $50 is this really ANY working console?  I've got 3 Atari 2600's.  Could probably part with one of those bad boys.  I'll even toss in a copy of E.T.  I hear it's pretty good.

I don't think the 10% coupon has an exclusions to gaming consoles and I've stacked it with other coupons before.

I used it on a Macbook air with the college coupon not to long ago.

Unless you have an uptight manager it should be ok considering it's a larger purchase.

Does anyone know if I trade my 360 in for this promo does the extra $50 coupon have an expiration on it. I want to take advantage of this promo but I cant purchase it this week.

Yes but I don't remember the actual date. Think it was 15th though.

I guess I might just have to take the plunge. I already have a ps4 and my 360 is just sitting. I definitely don't see myself getting more than 150 for my 360.

It doesn't

Bought a MK8 Wii U bundle last week with it.

We can trade working consoles for $100 with no strings attached, right?

I have a 120GB PS3 slim I'm done with (replaced with blue super-slim from those KMART promos and gift card deals). $100 Best Buy Gift card for my old useless PS3 sounds kinda nice. I know I can get $150 with trade, but $100 with no strings attached also isn't bad.

I'm not sure we will see many more "straight up" trade-in deals of $100 or more.

Damn I mixed this deal up with the Gamestop trade in. I was thinking I would get $100 including the coupon for my 60gb 360.

Also just a heads up. Sam's Club is selling the XB1 with Forza and Kinect for $429. Best Buy now prices matches Sam's Club. It is in store and on their website though you have to proceed to checkout to see the price.

Just tried to trade in a Wii for the $50 coupon and no go. The employee spent 25 minutes trying to figure out how to process it and then goes into their weekly flyer and tells me their store isn't participating....horrible experience, this asshole even tells me he can't find the promo on the Best Buy site. This is 5 minutes after the original employee trying to help me was looking at it on the same register. Ugh. Anyone have luck trading in a Wii on this promo?
