Agreed. $60 was a steep price for a game everyone just bought not long ago, glad to see they dropped the price down some.

I was going to wait for a $30-40 sale anyways. But now that I can pre-order it for $40 and have it on day one, I can't say no to that!

Day 1 for me! I passed when this came out last year because I knew I was getting a ps4. I really want it though.
 
Preordered last night when it was still $60. According to BB website they price match at time of shipment/release of the item, unlike amazon who will give you the lowest price from the time of order up until shipment/release. Is this a new msrp or is there a chance this is temporary and may go back up to $60?

I used reward certs and a gift card on my preorder. Gonna have to jump through a few hoops I feel to get this adjusted.
 
Thanks for the heads up I preordered it using the credit I got from preordering Wolfenstein and only paid $16 and some change out of pocket for it!

 
BBY rep just credited my order $10. With my GCU, I came out a little ahead. Pick up the phone if you've already made a preorder at $59.99!
 
I saw in the CE thread that Amazon Germany is offering a steelcase edition of TLOU remastered for the same price as the standard, it says its exclusive to Amazon Germany i think (my german is rusty!) so dunno if any of the US retailers will be getting something similar or not, may want to hold off pre-ordering if that kind of thing is important to you.  Infamous SS, Lightning Returns, etc got similar multiple SKUs at launch for same price, with slightly better bonus version.

My strat is pretty much always preorder on amazon first, and the week before release decide which retailer to get it from.  Amazon doesn't charge until ship and you can cancel/manipulate your order online without any hassles.

Too bad they didn't announce another round of Post Pandemic Editions. That's what I was really hoping for.

I just tried and they were not able to adjust it for me. Spoke with 2 different reps saying that because it was not shipped that I have not paid for it yet so there would be nothing to adjust.

 
40 bucks is a great price, since I was thinking of buying the left behind DLC at 15 and then would have to rebuy the vanilla game at 20-30 anyway...

It looks like it is the new MSRP because GameStop and Amazon both have it listed for the same price. All three don't include any mention of it being a sale. I also used a couple GC's, so I'm in the same boat.

 
Called BB customer service and they said they are not able to make an adjustment until after I pick up the item. So I will pick up the item at my ticketed price from yesterday, and then I "should" receive a credit 3-5 days after. Seems asinine. I like BB but their systems make no sense to me. It's not the end of the world but I feel like it should be easier to get an adjustment ESPECIALLY if I'm not charged until I pick up the item (there is a pending authorized debit on your account until you pick it up).

Should of just had them cancel the order. You'll get all credits back and then reorder at the new price.

What he said. Might take a day or two to process the credit back though. But it looks like 49.99 is the new MSRP. so no rush.
 
Preordered. Been waiting for BB to get with the program.
Of course this should have been the original MSRP, I guess they feel they can get a few suckers at $60.

Is the bonus DLC a real bonus or does everyone get it?

Finally!  A game I can look forward to during the summer.  And not the new definition of "summer" "looks at Dead Rising 3 PC version".  With $5 rewards certificate, this should work out to about $38.  Nice!  I was bummed out I couldn't get a replacement PS3 to play this game.  Not so much anymore.

Pre-ordered!! I cant wait to get back into the MP for this game, it was my go to on the PS3 but I sold it when they announced the remastered edition. :bouncy:

Glad I avoided the PS3 version when $39.99 was a good deal and I didn't even have GCU.
 
I hate pre-ordering through bestbuy.com, because they constantly charge and drop off a charge on your card until the game comes out.

I'll just hope that this is the new price and pre order closer to release.

Serioulsy though, the MP is SO good. I feel like it gets overshawdowed by SP and doesn't get the the praise it deserves. That being said, Im looking foward to playing through the campaign again on grounded mode. I heard its a real challenge.

I agree with Paypal. But if you buy and use a GC you lose out on a lot of points. You won't get the double GC points or the boost from Elite or Elite+. So for a $40 game you lose up to 50 points, which is about $1, but hey every bit counts. So I would not recommend buying a BBY GC to do this.

You get charged right away, but it isn't a constantly pending charge. Paypal takes the money out of your account and gives it to BBY right away.

 
I've never had an issue with pending charges with my bank. Pops up when I first pre order and then again right before release. Never in between.
