Child of Light Vita Physical Version

For those wanting a physical version, play-asia has a deluxe edition that from what I can tell, the trailer is in English, and offers Chinese, English and Japanese subtitles. From the article I found, it states:

The game is only going to be available as a digital download in North America but if you prefer to have the physical edition of the game, you may want to pre-order the Child Of Light Deluxe Edition on Play-Asia. This version of the game is the Asian one but it comes with full English language option. As an added bonus this version of the game also comes with a bonus artbook.

Sorry I can't post links yet :) They have it for $29.99, I ordered one so if you want to wait until I get it to find out, I'll post details once I get it.

 
Problem is you won't be able to use any of the DLC without an Asian PSN account, and Vita only allowing 1 account makes it a pain.

 
Is the DLC tied to the region of the game? I think some games allow you to use DLC from your region regardless of the cart's region. That said, I have no idea how CoL handles it, but if you want to take a risk...

 
Most of that DLC is pretty meh anyway. The Golem one is the only content one that one's even just barely. It has a really barebones quest and then you get another companion. The rest is just different color dresses and pay2win stuff.

We have a vita section for discussions and announcements and such. The word "deal" would surely tell you this section is for deals.

Do you only come to threads starting is not a deal and such. ...

Anyways wait the na release is digital only? Cause if so you could just remote play it while also getting the benefit of paying it on the ps4

He has a point though clearly is not a deal and clusters up the board. The only reason why you defend this crap is because it's a game you are interested. If everyone posted a new thread every time a game they were interested released digitally, it would be a complete shit show and every one would go back to slick deals.

Don't try to explain logic to these people. It almost always devolves into the people who were helped defending the thread against people who don't approve of the thread, with how it should be an exception or unique situation... every time. Perhaps the staff should just change this forum to the "Retail discussion forum," where we can discuss MSRP deals and extremely niche products.

Love the contradiction. You call out Mr_Hat for posting this isn't a deal (which it isn't) and then go on to tell people how they should buy the game. Just like how you don't like Mr_Hat posting its not a deal, other people don't care about side features and might just want the game physically.

This clearly doesn't belong here.  Having said that, the UK version comes out July 2nd and it is a physical release.  Amazon UK has it for preorder for 16 pounds plus shipping.

TLDR:

CAG's grouped threads sucks and is not useful. If we are going to use a grouped thread system, PLEASE separate deal posts and discussion! I would prefer deals are posted here like on Slickdeals.

Long Rant:

I completely disagree. While this is not a deal for you, this is good information and a deal for others.

Additionally, deals on Slickdeals are posted like posts on CAG used to be posted. I find it far more useful than CAG's current state. On SD, each thread is broken into an individual item with price in the thread title. The best deals rise to the top and the crap no one is interested in fades off of the main pages. This allows users to quickly find the deals worth going for. With CAG in it's current state, you have to waste a lot of extra time searching through hundreds of posts in each thread to see if you missed anything, as the original posts are not always updated.

I have seen so many video game deals posted on SD and found many deals at stores and websites myself that I never see posted on CAG. If they do get posted on CAG, they are well hidden as I do read through threads when I can, but there is so much useless discussion (like my post), that it is hard to find the actual deals being posted (looking at you Amazon Warehouse thread). I would post deals myself in new threads, but then that would just lead to a dozen people yelling at me for posting in an individual thread.

IMO, if CAG wants to continue using its grouped thread setup for EVERYTHING, it needs to separate actual deal posts from discussion. And if CAG wants to continue with the grouped threads, at least group the the individual weekly ads into an ongoing thread for crying out loud. And while were at it, lets delete the Target B2G1 thread as that deal is already called out in the target ad thread ::rolls eyes::

I don't mind seeing these threads pop up. Even if the game doesn't pertain to me, it is good information for the group. I don't even have a Vita, but I think this is good for those who want a hard copy. The giant mega threads get bogged down and you can miss so much.

I'm curious - what started the focus recently with the giant mega-threads? Were people complaining about too many threads.

 
I find the problem with mega threads is maybe adding in new deals in the title or front page as it does suck flippingthrough pages hoping you didn't miss anything
 
Does anyone have 100% confirmation that this version is indeed physical? When this was announced for the Vita, someone(i'm guessing from the company), said they would be releasing the physical deluxe edition in the states, but I don't believe anyone ever said the game itself would be physical, just the packaging. Since that was said, I've yet to see the deluxe edition for pre-order anywhere in the US.

 
1) This is a deal.  If you don't like it, go away.  No one is forcing you to post here.

2) Like others, I want to know for sure if this is an actual game cartridge, and the U.S. WON'T have a game cartridge.  (Obviously I want to support the U.S. version if it exists!)

3) Are there region issues with Vita?  Like will a UK or asian version work on a U.S. version and hopefully support trophies?

4) Can we just order from Amazon UK?  I see it on there, and the price is good...  (Assuming IT is a cartridge for that matter).

 
Whew! Sorry for the controversy and posting in the wrong category. Anyhow I am not 100% certain if this is really a cart version (I was just posting what explosion dot com stated :)), although I did order the final fantasy x-2 version from play-asia and that worked fine with no issues on a US vita, so I'm taking a 50/50 chance. Other sites I searched just say "retail" but that could mean the box is retail while the game is still digital. I shipped fedex so I should have it the week after the holiday.

 
You didn't post it in the wrong category.  I'm glad you posted it or I'd have never known there was a possible chance to get it.  Some people are just idiots and feel the need to bash stuff they don't care about for whatever reason.

I still hope someone can answer my above questions though!

 
Damn, I missed this deal because it was in the wrong section.  I only found it through a f-ing Google search, wondering if such a thing (physical CoL) even exists.  That's what happens when you take stuff off the "Deals" section.

Thanks for letting us know where to preorder the game.  I think it's time to add a new category to get all these digital release people off the, you know, *actual video game* "Deals" forum.  Call it "Leasing Discounts" or something.  Or a new category for pointing where to buy difficult to acquire physical releases.

Yea this seems to be the consensus so I'm going to grab a copy too. Gotta get that physical media!

As a heads up, this is also available from newegg for the same price with free shipping. I'm grabbing it from there to put on my preferred card.
