DC Universe Online - F2P MMO - You can login with your PS3 account to continue from where you left off. All DLC and Subscriptions are Cross Buy between PS3 and PS4. Trophies are only able to be earned for subscribers.

Doki-Doki Universe Starter Pack This is largely a demo that offers full access to its Doki-Doki Mail messaging system that works across PS systems and mobile, 16 personality quizzes, QT3's home planet, and the tutorial planet.

Pinball Arcade - F2P w/Demos Includes demos for all tables by default. No Cross Buy for tables you've purchased on PS3/Vita, but there is a discount for the Season One Bundle or Season One Pro Bundle if you owned it on PS3/Vita to make it $14.99 or $19.99, respectively.

Zen Pinball 2 - Free w/Demos - Free Sorcerer's Lair Table Tables purchased on PS3/Vita are free on the PS4, though tables purchased on PS4 are not free on PS3/Vita. The best route for purchasing to get all possible versions is to be on PS3 or Vita first, then you get all three versions for free. This PS Blog post lists all compatible tables for those that released before ZP2 launched on PS4, which are the only older tables that will be available on PS4. This PS Blog post explains the process of importing tables from PS3/Vita to PS4 if you need more help.

Q: It says that the game is on sale today, but I just checked and it's still full price. When is it on sale?

A: That's probably because you're checking the store well before the update happens. Updates typically happen between 2-5 PM EST on Tuesdays, so please check back then. Somebody will probably mention that it's live in this thread when it's available, just in case you're lazy.

 

Q: Where else can I buy PSN content besides the PlayStation Stores on my PS4, PS3, PSP, or Vita?

A: The Web Store is Sony's official website for purchasing games and other content for any of your PlayStation consoles or handhelds. There are links in the first post above to each item's respective page where you can purchase them without needing to start up the respective console to do so and the PS4, PS3, and Vita offer means to remotely start downloading them to the console so you won't have to wait as long to play the games. The PS3's remote download feature is a bit spotty since it either requires the console to be on to do so or that you wait for whenever you have to PS3 set to turn on for Automatic Download for PS+ people.

 

Q: Would you mind listing the previous deals so I can see if a game I'm considering is a frequent sale item or not?

A: Since that would be a lot of work, I have a simpler solution that will give you access to the past seven years' worth of sales. Just go over to the What's in the PS Store thread I run in the PS3 forum and click on the search field at the top of the page that should say "This Topic" next to it and type in the name of the game you're interested in. The results should let you see if that game has been on sale at any point in the past few years and give you an idea of whether it's better to get the game now or wait for a sale.

 

Q: When does a deal actually expire, as far as the last moment that I can grab the game at the sale price?

A: All sales end when the next update happens, which would be probably about an hour before the update actually appears in the New Releases section of the store. Since there isn't a set time for updates to happen, it would be in your best interest to not be putting off getting a game on sale for that long to have to worry about this issue.

 

Q: When does my PlayStation Plus subscription expire? How do I turn off auto-renew so I don't get charged for it? I don't see a way to do this on the PlayStation Store.

A: Unfortunately, they don't make it that easy to find out when your subscription ends, but I've made a handy Youtube video to walk you through the process:

 

 

Q: I'm interested in PlayStation Plus. Do I keep any games that go on sale for PlayStation Plus members?

A: Yes, anything you pay money for as a PS+ member is yours to keep forever. Most of the free content is attached to the subscription and expires once that sub lapses, but anything you buy is like every other purchase on PSN and is attached to your account and is playable forever.

A: Yes, you can keep playing those games for the length of your subscription. There's no need to rush yourself to beat those games within the month unless you're just enjoying it that much.

 

Q: I'm interested in PlayStation Plus. Do I keep all of these games forever? What if I re-subscribe after letting it lapse?

A: Unfortunately, no. You can only play them for as long as you have a PS+ membership, though games you buy with a discount are yours forever. If your sub lapses at all, re-subscribe will give you access to all of the games you previously had, so there's no reason to not grab them when they arrive.

 

Q: I noticed that some of my PlayStation Plus games do not have an expiration date on them. Are they mine to keep forever?

A: Unless you bought them, they all have expiration dates. The free titles that don't have expiration dates are those where you got a demo and an unlock key, which behaves differently than the normal games you usually get with PS+. If you let your sub lapse, the unlock key expires and you're left with just the demo taunting you with what you once had. Q: How many times am I allowed to redownload content that I've purchased?

A: Any games you've purchased can be downloaded as much as you want on up to two systems at once for anything beyond 11/18/11, so you can delete games whenever you need room and redownload them when you need them again easily. Everything you purchased before 11/18/11 still adheres to the original five system limit. Videos are a bit different in that your ownership of them expires once you download an item from the video store and delete it, though you're free to back-up that video to your PSP or Vita and then to your PC via Media Go or the Content Manager program.

 

Q: Are PSP or Vita Games playable on the PS3?

A: No, the only games playable on the PSP/Vita and PS3 are PS1 Classics, PS1 Imports, PlayStation Minis, and Cross Buy Vita games at the moment.

 

Q: Can I pay exact change for PSN content?

A: Yes, though you need to at least have $5 worth of items to be able to pay exact change. This is done so that Sony isn't pay credit card fees on small $1 purchases, so if you don't have anything to push the total of the items in your cart above $5, you'll just get the difference in credit on your account that can be applied to future purchases.

 

Q: Can you explain the terminology that you use here?

A: I usually add something after the sale price to indicate what kind of sale it is. Permanent Price Drop is a permanent drop in price, so this is the new base price for this item. Persistent Deals are PlayStation Plus deals that are always available to PlayStation Plus members and are usually adjusted when they go on sale to everybody else, so you probably shouldn't jump on them right away as a member.

 

Q: Can you break down the format you use for these deals?

A: Game Name - Add-on Name or Platform if Not PS3-only - Price - Sale Modifier or Additional Info

 

Q: Can I post here about getting people for my gameshare group?

obviously I root for the US first, I also root for Italy since I'm 50% Sicilian. Since they were knocked out I was rooting for Greece today since that's my wife's heritage. Yeah at the same time it would have been cool to see IC go through for their first time. Just focusing on Thursday at this point. We still have a great chance to make it through.
