I'm curious how many people actually use Bitcoin.  When I see companies take it, it just feels like a gimmick to make them look forward thinking.  That being said, if I could trade my Gamestop credit for bitcoin, i'd be in for one.

Its mostly used for illicit drug transactions. They then spend the bitcoin on stuff like this cause turning it into real money can be a chore. Its so volatile I dont know why any business would ever take it. I think one day in the next few years someone will find a way to "counterfeit" bitcoin and put an end to cryptocurrency for good.

I don't think this was ever a deal. AFAIK you can't check out with bitcoins on the mobile app and the promo code was only for use on the mobile site. Regardless it says this now when you enter the promo code:

this deal is now available on the regular newegg.com site.. same paramaters appy.. someone went to bestbuy and got it pricematched on the checkout screen at newegg on their mobile device... but they didn't get the free COD ghosts game. They told them it was a mobile app offer. At checkout screen it says it takes credit card payment.. no mention of requiring bitcoin at all on that page.

It won't let you checkout with the 100 off code. You can get to that screen.. but if you try to use a CC, it goes up to 507.. I tried.. but people are saying you can get it to that screen, and get Best Buy to pricematch. Still not worth the effort for me to go there.. and bestbuy will not give you the COD Ghosts.. just the price match of the xbox one with the kinect and forza inside.

 
I just got back from Bestbuy. They initially told me they don't match promo bundles but I talked to the guy and said I came all the way down here and he was really nice about it. He talked to the manager and she agreed to match it. However they said they couldn't price match and do the 10% mover's coupon. The total for the Xbox One with Kinect, Forza, and Cod Ghosts was $429.99 with tax. I also got $120 for trading in my 360 and 2 controllers which brought it down to $309.99 and I payed with my Bestbuy credit card which will give me 10% back in rewards. Finally I just turned in the reciept for the $20 off $200 ibotta offer. So if my math is right it will cost me about $260 for the Xbox One, Kinect, and 2 games.

What I did was open up newegg on my browser on the phone. I went to the cart and inputed the promo code. The total showed 407.98 with shipping. I got the guy to pricematch off of this screen by showing him my phone. Of course YMMV because they aren't really supposed to match the promo bundles.

 
Going to try stacking this with isis $20 back if spending $40 or more, amex $25 back on $250 at best buy, $20 ibotta and some reward certs. Guess I'll try the movers coupon but doubt that will work.

Should come out to around $320 with taxes before certs and giftcards. Might wait for something better too. I'll give it a day to think about it

What is the $20 back if spending $40 or more deal. Don't think I've heard of that.

 
I am a big bitcoin user and am picking this up, I have a feeling they will be doing more of these promotions coming up as they are pushing bitcoin hard on NewEgg.
