$30($24 w/GCU) PS4/XB1 Tomb Raider Definitive Edition @ Bestbuy/Amazon

Played it on PC and I thought it was very good, but in all honesty $30 is still a tough call. My biggest issue with the game was I played it on the hardest difficulty (Which sadly wasn't very hard) and after beating the game collecting everything there's 0 replay value. Overall took me about 8-9 hours to beat.

If you don't have this game yet and have a PS4 I recommend it.
Does the game ever get better? I played it some but after awhile it felt like it was all back tracking and busy work. I was at the part I could slide down ropes between these buildings around the part you climb a radio tower. I just got tired of running errands, killing random bad guys and such. I mean does it pick up more or is it all mostly just running through villages and such?

i loved this game except for some parts of tue shanty town. btw to players who havent played this yet the cover in this game is almost completely useless as you get fire bombed like crazy smh

I played Tomb Raider on Xbox 360 a year ago and enjoyed the game very much. A few minor negatives but nothing that kills the game. Game took me over 20 hours to finish 100%. There's no replay value once you finish the game but personally, I prefer games that way. I like to collect everything before finishing the main story. Once I finish the main story, game is pretty much done for me and time to move on to the next game. Tomb Raider is an excellent linear game that I would rate a 9/10 and while I would rate Uncharted 3 the same, if I had to choose one or the other, I would choose Tomb Raider.

Anyone know how long this deal lasts? Thanks.

I think it's still a bit over what I'd want to pay. I am not usually a big third-person adventure person like this, so I'll hold out longer on a game that was a remake of a year-old title. If it gets to $20 in general or $25 at Best Buy ($20 after GCU), I'll bite.

not to undermine the OP but this game is usually on sale along with others at Gamefly, right now its $25 and I have seen it as low as $20,but this is still a good price if can work some coupon magic on it lol

I don't think it's fair to compare this deal with Gamefly. Gamefly games are considered used games while this deal is about new games.

you can get it for $19.60 + tax with the bday coupon
Yep, & $19 base TIV @ BB ($20.90 w/GCU) aka free rental

^^^
$20.90 GCU TIV @ BB lock it in play n trade for way cheaper than $20.

I'm gonna hold off because I have a feeling this will be <20 on black Friday.
It`s already $20ish w/b-day coupon

Hmm...that makes it tempting...I'll have to think about it, but I'm going to be all over Forza for the next week or two, and The Golf Club is out on the 18th or 25th, so I'm not sure when I'd get time for this. Might grab it in September, since there's nothing out but Horizon 2 on the 30th.

Buy 3 & trade to BB just for the pts from GS & BB. You`ll have a $60 gc in waiting for whatever game you buy.

Maybe this will be my third game...ps4 or bone?
Ps4 has 50-60FPS x1 is 30-45FPS, ps4's light bar does cool things and the speaker on the controller has radio chatter, x1 has the superior controller and achievements>trophies for me.

I would get the x1 version as I'm leaning towards xbox more and more but really either is fine, the ps4 gets a nod in performance though.

Saying the controller is better is purely subjective. The ps4 controller is really good anyways.

There is like no difference between trophies and achievements lol

I forgot my b2g1 was only for games under $20. I may still pick this up...not sure though as I still have the free games for gold version.

I'm not trying to start the age-old "what controller is better" debate, but I'd say that the Xbox 360 (not sure how much different the One's is) has the best feeling controller. It fits in your hand better than the PS3 and PS4 controllers. It also just feels more sturdy than other controllers - although I can never grasp the A,B,X,Y button layout on the 360. I much prefer PS games, but if only I could use a 360 controller on my PS platforms...

Even if I used the birthday coupon, the game would be $21.87, per-copy. The Best Buy trade-in value is $15, $16.50 after GCU. I'd rather not eat $5-6 in cash to get a few rewards points, especially 3 times over.

Already beat it on a Gamefly rental on the XB1 but kind of want to pick it up to have in my collection since I enjoyed it so much.

xbox one is more like 24-30 fps & cutscenes are rendered in 900p

The TIV was $20.90 w/GCU it`s $15 now b/c BB has it on sale too for $30. You know the flip game gotta at least lock em in online while pondering.

I checked that thread and I only see 20% off any used game...or are you guys buying it used lol
The GS B-day coupon ONLY works on used games

So I'd still be losing about a buck for rewards points, while locking myself into shopping at Best Buy. Not to say it's bad for everyone, but it doesn't really do anything for me. There's nothing I want to get in the next couple of months.

Hey do what`s best for you but I`d never lose money on this deal. Get a visa you`re + $15 & + 185 MBB & use it to buy the games @ GS. The trade nets another 57 MBB ~$8 away from $5 & the gc. Take the gc & remaining visa use it on another visa now you have $200 to spend anywhere. Already being Elite plus converts the MBB into $5.

There`s no such thing as being "locked into BB" they pm almost anyone/anything even when they`re not supposed to. Not knowing the weekly ads, non ad deals, mistakes, coupons for the next couple months makes it impossible to predict a spending pattern unless a person has no money. One good deal, coupon or generic BB blunder is all it takes.

These are the little things that add up over the ur resulting in 2-3 competely free games and/or paying for your PUR/GCU sub.
