Favourite Game You Remote Play From PS4

CAGiversary!
For me it's Madden.

I remote played Destiny and enjoyed it but the short sticks would cause me not to want to PVP. Pairing the Vita with a DS4 and a phone clip might be the answer.

For me I really liked playing Don't Starve. The controls were perfect. Black Flag was good too but mainly just doing clean up on things and not actual missions.

Injustice is great! Thanks to all who suggested this in the PSN Sale thread. I had given up on the Vita game but the PS4 version remote played on Vita is superb.

Possibly a stupid question, I don't have a vita yet but I do have a PS4. So even if your PS4 and vita are connected to different wifis you can still remote play? Like you're at a friends house or whatever. I know your PS4 will have to be set so it can access the internet in standby mode or whatever.

You need to have a strong connection at your friends house. You need to have a strong connection at your house AND you need to have your PS4 on standby mode. I always keep mine on standby.

I never leave my PS4 in standby.  It sits in an entertainment center and I'm worried about heat buildup damaging the system.  When I'm using it, I leave the front door of the entertainment center ajar, and have a small fan inside blowing air over the console to move heat away.  And I think the PS4 does consume some power, thus generate some heat, even in standby mode.

Well when I place my hand on the console in standby there is almost no warmth. Of course it is using a little energy. So is any other electronics you have plugged in no matter if you have it turned off.

My console is in an open area. I learned my lesson with the 360's.

Been remote playing Minecraft the last day. It works perfect with special mapping for the Vita; as far as I can tell nothing is being mapped to the back touchpad.

I've played quite a bit of AC:Black Flag and didn't have much of a problem with it.  Played some Watch Dogs as well but think something is interfering with my Wifi and remote play.  Our old house didn't have any hardwired network runs so I blamed the 1940's structure and crappy electrical for interference.  At our new house (just finished the build) I had them run Cat6 to all the rooms, the PS4 will be hard wired which I'm hoping will help remote play run smoother.  I'm really looking forward to seeing how GTA V plays via the Vita.

Crimson, typically I have no issues(modem is in the basement, PS4 in on the main floor, and I usually remote play from the bedroom on the top floor). Usually when I encounter issues it's in the evening before my wife goes to bed so I figure her tech is messing with my signal sometimes. After she shuts down for the night it works without a hitch upstairs again always.

I think I've put in most of my 17+ hours of Shadow of Mordor in via Remote Play.  Now that I've got everything stabilized in the house it runs like butter.  Can't wait to play some GTA V via the Vita!

What did you do to improve performance?

Rayman Legends is the game is used remote play for the most. Due to wear my PS4 is located it's on WiFi but I only notice a little lag during remote play. If I bought a signal booster/extender do you think it could improve it?

The one issue you're going to run into with a repeater like that is that it'll introduce latency in the signal. Granted it may not be that much but if you're within 50 - 75 feet from your AP it may not be the signal strength. You may want to try changing the channel your wifi is running on; if you are around a lot of different wifi signals you could be inundated with co-channel interference (which is why I wish the vita supported the 5.8Ghz band). Changing to a different channel (choose either 1,6,or 11 - if your AP supports it you could try 14 as well) could help with the interference.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try this. I have shitty Frontier DSL, but I don't think that should effect the quality of my remote play, especially just being on my home network. My router is the modem/router they provide though. My connection is supposed to be 25mbps but I have a hard time believe that. Also I've ran the PSNow Connection Check multiple times and every time it says my connection is strong enough. I understand none of that should effect my Remote Play though right? Also isn't there a newer setting on the ps4 or vita, where it will actually connect directly to each other without the network at all? I thought after I updated the Vita, it mentioned something about it.

Yeah, there's a setting on the PS4 under remote play for it to connect directly with the PS4. If you're close enough it should work fine; I believe that uses wifi direct which also runs on the 2.4Ghz band.
