And so the UPS guy stole my package today from Amazon.  It shows as delivered, but he just drove slowly by the house and didn't stop. (my dad watched him drive by; I had it being delivered to my dad's place like I do most of my amazon stuff)

No.  The purchase and trade transactions are handled completely separately, in separate systems and registers.

Couldn't agree more. There's also just something nice about a big collection of games for every system lined up. I'm the kinda person who hopes future consoles stick with physical media, but at the rate we're going we'll be lucky to get a disk in a sleeve by next gen

Just as a heads up in case anyone was interested..

 

Gamestop is offering $125 for ANY model PS3 above 20GB. You'll be able to get a brand new PS4 for $275. Granted, you could just sell the PS3 on ebay or elsewhere and hope to snag a AWD PS4 for a cheap price as well if you wanted to.

Not a bad deal if your backlog for PS3 isn't big or important to you. Since mine's big enough and important, I'll happily keep my PS3.

Okay, right. I also saw some of the $250 PS4s yesterday saying that the accessories were still sealed. I wonder if those were dingers. I'm confused because the listings never mention the imperfections on the box specifically, just the item.

Item is generally the physical product or accessory.
They usually refer to the box as 'package' or 'case'.

Sounds like a well used trade in to me.

A dinger would be a brand new item so no reference is generally made to any of the item or accessory conditions because they would be unknown, still being sealed.

that's one of the ones I ordered, if it's not a dinger, I'll be sending it back, I'll update when I get it.
