That seems like a console issue. Contact Microsoft and send it in under warranty.

I sadly have a copy of NBA Jam for the Game Gear that I never played.

(A) , since the headset adapter is an accessory I would assume and not actually connect to the headset. I would have got just bought the adapter but none in stock, all available ones are people trying to sell them for $50+
