Scored a Sony Trinitron 20" PVM this weekend

You can frequently pick up decent CRT TVs from thrift stores for around $10-15 on weekends (discounts are usually given on Saturdays at many thrift stores), so I can't say you got your TV for the most stellar deal, but your retro games will look wonderful on it.
Y'all are letting me down :( I thought for sure the retro section would know what's up.

It's not a tv, it doesn't have a tv tuner or coaxial inputs. Sony sold consumer Trinitrons, but this isn't that. This is a professional video monitor.

They supply the best image via RGB for retro consoles, heck even the PS2 via component.

I got a similar model for $50 a few years ago. These are indeed some of the best monitors for retro games. As technical monitors they have far more options for tweaking the display.

Of course, you will likely have to customize your systems for RGB. But if you know what you're doing, than this monitor will provide what you need. I use my Trinitron as a Super-Gun for testing arcade boards. JAMMA works on it just fine.

I see. Thanks for the info.

Nice find! I've always liked the Trinitrons as even the older ones were close to flat as seen top to bottom.

I actually picked up a bunch of consumer units (mostly 27")years ago, a couple XBR, a couple pro, and a couple FD just for my future museum. CRT is needed for light gun games and nothing says retro like playing on a tube!
