Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 Holiday Value Bundles that will be available next week at retailers around the world. There are a number of options; here are the details:

Xbox 360 500 GB Holiday Value Bundle

Xbox 360 Special Edition Blue Bundle
If you decide to pick up the above bundle at Walmart in the US, there’s a special version for you: The Xbox 360 Special Edition Blue Bundle includes an arctic blue console and controller and includes everything mentioned in the bundle above, and also retails for $249.

Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle
The 4GB Kinect Bundle showcases three games – Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Forza Horizon – along with one month of Xbox Live Gold access. This bundle also starts at $249, and will be available at Target in the US.

Awesome, would have been horrible to have to pay almost 300 dollars just for a new Xbox and the new 500 GB separately. And I should be able to flip both of the COD games for about 30 bucks.

It's crazy that last gen is still $249. They really should be $199 or $149 bundles. I expect to see a ton of these left on the shelves unless someone drops the price a bunch for BF.

Why in the world would you give two iterations of the same game? Even if they still are 2 of the most played games currently.

Surprised they didn't come out with a Skyrim and Oblivion console game bundle. Hey instead of buying our new console enjoy a 7 year old game and then buy all of its DLC.

Still feeling good for getting 4gig  model last year through amazon for $99 (Black Friday). Then slapped on a 20gig HD from Gamestop using the krongate coupon for $10.

Winner. And.....its been collecting dust. Backlog is the death of me.

$249 is a great deal? Am I missing something here?
It's a 500 gb hard drive and 2 games that can still net you about 30 bucks when you trade them in. Much better than buying all this separately. MS wants 110 for the harddrive alone. Then add that up with the 180 dollar core system and the two games.

When the Xbone's already been $300 or less with promos and free games, $250 for the same sort of bundle is meh.

I might get the blue one if it goes on sale during Black Friday and if it's still in stock after the mad rush. Just to play Tales of Vesperia

That Blue 360 looks nice.  Disc copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts and a voucher for COD: Black Ops 2.  That kind of works for me since I have the disc version of BLOPS 2 from Blockbuster.

Wish the Walmart exclusive was available at Gamestop, Best Buy, Kmart, and/or Sears instead though just for the reward points.  I think I'll hold out for a gift card deal by Walmart if no one else is going to eventually carry it new.

It will surely be $199 around the holidays (hopefully for an extended period around black friday), but I agree that should be the regular price by now. It's sort of rediculous.

Unless they've changed, they never include physical copies of games in their bundles.

Yeah trying selling those codes for any more than $10 each. Seems almost silly to buy these at $250 when you can save a little more money and get a PS4 or Xbox One.

If you only want one to play Vesperia, why not just get a cheap 360 on Craigslist or cowboom? That $5 sale for Vesperia was a steal, and while that is unlikely to comeback, at least it's still pretty cheap for a physical copy.

REALLY like the blue one a lot, don't really need/want another 360 (although I've been wishing I had bought the first 'slim' that still had optical)....

Sigh. They might get money out of me just to upgrade my aging (but still, after a repair a few years ago, working) unit bought at Day 1 of the Tower store closing clearance!

If you're the type of person who doesn't move on for good and like to play classics from time to time, you're gonna need a 360 cause we'll likely never see backwards compatibility again. And the Xbox 360 E is a huge improvement over the slim imo.

Wish they were like $99-149. $249 is too expensive considering the hardware is 9 years old.
If this was a 4GB bundle, sure. Maybe even a 250GB. But you're not gonna get a 500GB xbox for 149 dollars.

I guarantee $199 will be the deal for BF at these retailers, or maybe lower or with additional GC added on. Or at least it has been for the last 2 years so why not again? But I agree the price should be even lower by now. All they did was up the GB.

Frys had new 250gb 2 yr old bundles for sale at $160 or $170 a few months ago too.

Holiday bundles have been $300 MSRP for the last three years with lots of $250 sales or $50 GC offers, then knocked down to $200 on Black Friday. Bet we get these at $175 of BF and with $50 GC's most of the holiday shopping season.

  • Xbox 360 500GB
  • Titanfall
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • 1 month XBL Gold
  • $200 Black Friday price
^This would had been an awesome Xbox 360 bundle for the holidays but I could understand why Microsoft would not want to do this...

I didn't even know it was that price on Amazon. I thought it was Walmart only. I should have gotten one.

Walmart's sales price was online for awhile though iirc. Amazon sold out within seconds i do remember.
Amazon was a Lightning Deal, and it went FAST for being late at night. I actually bought a unit from Wal-Mart too in the event I missed out on Amazon...I'll never forget returning the extra machine to the store. The supervisor at the customer service desk demanded that the rep cut open the brand new, unmolested, factory sealed box (which I brought to them in the original shipping box!) to make sure I wasn't pulling a fast one on them. The rep opens the box, rips everything out of the packaging...and just tosses it in a heap into a giant bin of returns. A brand new unit was basically sacrificed for nothing...

it looks like the xbox 360 is an afterthought,  i was expecting newer games in the bundle like they did before with previous ones.  But i guess they must of gotten a really good deal on the COD games.  And the prices is definitely not helping them either.

You're not alone. I primarily use my Xbox 360 for a stream box. It's all good though.

Last gen consoles should already be $199 or $149 already. Game bundles don't give justice to the price they charge anymore.

They are doing everything they can to keep these consoles at that $249 price point, lol. I guess I will wait till I see a bundle-less Xbox 360 E with the 500GB HDD.

Just FYI these new e models do not have optical audio support which a lot of people including me use for headsets and older surround receivers.

Well last generation wasn't all that long ago and there's still loads of strong titles selling the systems, so if they can get away with it, they will. Plus, still beats a WiiU, and that's "current" gen.

I know, right? Granted, it was used, but I just got a 250 dollar Xbox One (with Kinect). They could have at least put in newer games like Titanfall, Plants vs. Zombies: GW, Forza Horizon 2 or CoD: AW to somewhat rationalize the price.

That's the jack for the AV cables I thought. Does it double for the headsets?
It may output audio. Its a back meant for using composite shit cables for SD tvs.

It comes with a composite to 3.5 adapter. You might get stereo sound. No optical for 5.1 though.

lol, these look more like last year Holiday bundles instead. They should try bundle CoD: Advance Warfare and Destiny together instead.

one has to wonder why these were removed....I know my turtle beach x41's use that port.

and the xbox one comes with one too.

I don't know why anyone would get a last gen console, for what? I'm sure you'll be able to get a great deal on a xbone black friday. They are still struggling to keep up with the ps4.

These bundles should be $199 tops, but I guess as long as people keep buying them...

Black Ops 2 still plays better Ghosts. I can't believe I bought Ghosts. I think that's the worst COD to date so far in terms of MP, worst then COD3. Though I had decent fun with the campaign at least.

360 is still getting a lot of games that don't come to the X1 though. The big one this holiday is obviously Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and I guess Escape from Dead Island? Edit: Also forgot Assassins' Creed Rogue.

But as a parent you still have to look towards the cheaper and more expansive library of the 360 which I'm sure always helps sell systems.
