I finally got a woman named Kia who was a great success. Don't give up hope guys!

Haha, I spoke to Loretta, she stated that the preorder could not qualify because of the DLC. I tried calling three local Bestbuys and each of them said that Price Matching cannot be done on Pre-Orders. I assume it is too late to get in on this, but what are you guys saying to get them to price match it?

It's really the luck of the draw, you don't have to say anything special, just give SKU number and ask them to PM by giving Dell's part number from dell.com. The last rep I got was very new, it was only her 2nd time doing a PM.

That might be it. I kept asking if they price matched preorders. Instead of just asking them to price match it.

I just tried for the first time and the guy told me their computers have a notice from management not to price match this item.

my money is on yes cause best buy system aren't that good to be able to filter through all the orders and if they cancel normal non price match orders of the item it will cause more CS problems then needed. example the persona q CE price mistake

I would also say yes, BBY customer service has taken a huge leap forward in the past couple years. Out of the last few issues I've had with online orders arriving damaged they have credited me back $ in the form of a GC.

Also, don't forget the GTAV screw up, I successfully picked up 2 free copies at my local store, however the one shipped was cancelled. But free is different than price matching.

The terms say pricing errors aren't matched, bu our reps matched the advertised item an price, who's to say that the UPC on Dell's page was an error an the price was correct? Nothing in BBYs terms about not matching ads with mismatched UPC #s. :)

Well, you asked them. Now have your CC provider decline the charge. Or while you're on the phone tell them that's what you're going to do. How can an order be "in production' when the item ordered doesn't release for over a month?  :wall:

 

Better yet, dispute the charge after the item is sent and use your chat as evidence that you demanded the order be canceled, as well as a screenshot of the page detailing how they didn't even send the item you agreed to purchase when you confirmed the purchase.  :D/

The item doesn't exist with Dell. So at best, you'll have to have a fun chat to get a $10 apology gift card. Best Buy is going to be playing CSR roulette and praying they don't Fuck it up by release date.

I cancelled my order with an online rep yesterday, checked today on the order progress and said it was cancelled. I may place another order if this mistake is indeed the collectors edition for half price. And judging by the latest post with the chat log, I'm feeling like this may be legit. If anything and I get the wrong version shipped to me I'll take it to best buy or GameStop and do a return on a new product and put the 60 towards another order I have placed. I'll keep my Preorder for the collectors at GameStop just in case this is a faux pas.

the latest chat post says it a mistake and not the collector edition and it the limited edition which all first print STANDARD copies are

it happens to me all the time it just how there phone system is set up when I price Matched this the first day it was posted It took me 9 hang ups and 30 minutes before a call went through and was transferred to right department. There phones been like that for at least several months just have to keep trying

Finally got through, they're having "technical difficulties" so when transferred the call was dropped. Best Buy I can't deal.

I already have a pre-order with Best Buy (used GCU and a reward certificate). I'm going to see if they'll price match.

 

Also emailed Dell and asked them if this is actually the regular edition, cancel my order.
