I was looking at my local Sears' dwindling game section and came across a small clearance bin. Most of it was DSi and original 3DS accessories, but there was one lone black Wii U Pro Controller stickered for $19.97.

When I brought it to the register, it rang up for $36.97, but the employee marked it down without a hassle. So, YMMV -- either way, it's still a good price.

I looked briefly at sears.com and only saw controllers sold by third-parties above MSRP.

If it's stickered incorrectly, then it's probably because someone just stickered it incorrectly and this is an isolated incident. If you had asked why there was a difference between the sticker and the store price and if the sticker was meant to apply to the controller in the first place, then we would have a YMMV situation. Otherwise, it's a "dude, I found a GameCube complete in box for $10 at my local Swap Meet so go check your local Swap Meets. YMMV," situation.

So much this. Also, OP's controller snickered. Not sure I'd want a snickering controller.

Even at $36.97 it's still a good deal. That's why I posted it.

so has anyone made a trip to Sears to check this out?  I'm debating going, but it's kinda out of my way.  I'd get one for $36.97 but I don't want to make the trip and then they just don't have any at all.

I think they were $30-ish on Widespread clearance at Kmart. I'm on mobile, so I can't find my post about it.
 
Pricing of this worth jumping at? I originally had it at full price, but the ex took all my Wii U equipment and I would rather cost expenses on all Wii U.

 
I checked Burbank, Pasadena, Brea and Montclair the last couple of days and didn't find anything.

I hit up Whittier today and found two black controllers each tagged "Reduced $36.97", plus a sign marking an additional 25% off already reduced clearance prices. Came out to $55.46 + tax, not too shabby.

No, I've been missing all the other deals for these for the last 6 months, so was glad to finally check these off the list in time for Smash Bros.

I will continue to check other stores and let you know if I find anything though.

He think I'm the alt of some guy named Fairypansa. I don't even know what it is. I googled it and this is the only thing I got.

Everything else was about a Fairypanda. Maybe that's it. The "D" and the "S" keys are really close to each other. Or it's autocorrect.
