It's almost that time to renew PS+. I'm trying to wait for a better sale but 12/7 is right around the corner.

I just got a PS3 and $40 for 1 year of PS plus is very tempting. It will probably be cheaper on Black Friday, just like last year.

Man, I was just about ready to post a thread on the same ad when I noticed this thread. :-({|=

Thanks, OP, I guess. But you need to add that you can only save that amount on XBL/PS+ if you buy CoD: Advanced Warfare. The "Get GCU for $30 when you buy any game $39.99+" is also extended through this ad, so anyone who preorders Advanced Warfare in-store can get GCU for $30 when they pick up the game.

Hmmm should I trade the last of us remastered now for $29 or wait til the 50% bonus, think it'll hit $30-35 max after bonus

Also got plants vs zombies so I'll hold onto to that and nintendoland

LOL! I want to meet the one person who uses a game guide for CoD. You point the crosshair at every head you see and press R1. There. You all owe me $15

R1 throws a grenade doesn't shoot. Says in page 335 of my call of duty guide

Yuck, R2 = Shoot? I'm not a big fan of Rockstar's shooting controls. [-(

Don't be an ass you two. I work for Brady Games and there is a lot of trial and error involved making these guides. We are held to high standards from the game companies who are never pleased. You do not know the countless hours we spent playing COD to master moving the crosshairs to the target and then the additional time we spent finding the secret to making the bullets leave gun to reach it's target. Imagine having to learn to crouch on top of that. We put in the time so you don't have to, all for a nominal price.

One interesting thing to notice about GCU is that regular price is now $99.99, not $120.

that actually cheap. Last year call of duty game pass had a Msrp of $49.99 so they dropped the price this year

Oh wow I had no idea. These season pass prices are getting out of hand.

Hmm now the Driveclub dilema gets bigger.  I keep seeing the value drop on it daily on Amazon but it is still $40 at BB.  I wonder if it will drop under $30.

Also interesting they are keeping the Buy a game to get GCU still going the same time as The 50 percent trade it.  They must anticipate plenty of people would simply buy to get GCU and then resell the same game.

What's interesting is the new regular price of GCU is $99.99. Plus this sale two weeks in a row. Anyone think a nerf of the program is on its way?

Well I already have the Sunset Overdrive bundle on preorder. For $50 more I can get 1TB, uglier design console, a COD branded controller, and Advance Warfare game.

What to do...

I don't understand. I play on Xbox, and we don't have an R1. The closest thing we have to something labeled R1 would be clicking the right stick, and if they made that the shoot button, I'm going to throw that game out the window. Write a guide for those who don't want pixels in their games, please.

Yuck, R2 = Shoot? I'm not a big fan of Rockstar's shooting controls. [-(

The trigger is shooting on Xbox. I remember the one time I played CoD on PS3, and the first thing I did was pull the trigger, only to throw a grenade and be confused. Of course, the first time I played the CoD 2 demo at Best Buy on 360, I was not used to the bumpers, so when I first when to shoot, I clipped the bumper and threw a grenade at my self as well.

Oh wow I had no idea. These season pass prices are getting out of hand.

I would say the opposite. It's been $50 for the pass since probably Black Ops or Modern Warfare 3. This is a step towards reasonable pricing. Meanwhile, we've since seen games like Halo and Titanfall go with $25 Season Passes, Mordor's is $25, and Sunset Overdrive's Season Pass is just $20. Believe us, it's actually an improvement. It was already out of hand.

I mean, I don't love the Advanced Warfare console (though I love the controller), but it's infinitely better than the Jizzbox with Sunset Overdrive. The glossy black console is a magnet for dust and prints and such as it is, and white will only make it look worse.

Oh, that's different for me, then. I never had problems using the bumper for grenades and trigger for shooting on 360.

Isn't it better to have normal trade in prices and have GCU 10% than the 50% bonus?

Or is there a number where 50% makes more sense (ie games under $10)?

Not tracking it closely, but it seems I do better with the normal trade in plus the 10%.

Go with the 1TB, you're going to need the memory buddy.

$10 game. 50% bonus adds $5. GCU ads 10% on original $10, so $1.

$10 + $5 + 1 = $16 compared to the normal $11 with GCU.
