I know everyone loves MSRP deal threads so I thought I'd post one since there really doesn't seem to be a good place to put this otherwise. This isn't a collector's edition so I didn't post it there.

Best Buy and Amazon have a special combo pack that was just announced for Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire that includes 2 codes for 100 free potions for the low low price of $79.98. It appears to be a separate sku so I'm thinking this will be a great way to get around the 3 purchase limit. I know I'm not the only one looking to buy mulitiple sets of these (I have some friends looking to bum off my GCU for these so now I'll be able to let more of them buy in) so this is actually useful in some capacity.

if only Nintendo let me transfer all the pokemons I made on pokegen I would buy this. I dont have time to EV train and hatch certain natures. i don't see the problem in why they any allow this.

But these games WILL be amazing, and I am getting Omega Ruby day 1. The 200 free potion thing is a complete joke though!

Correct. I'd say the only reasons to get this are if you want the extra box art (who wouldn't if you are buying both anyway?) and/or you want to buy more than the 3 purchase limit.

 
I don't know why they didn't make it 100 pokeballs. That would have been significantly more useful. I'm just turning around and selling the potions to buy pokeballs anyway.

 
Topic already moved to another section? I wonder how long before someone reposts it in the deals section? Will the new thread get moved as well? Disappointed my first "deal" thread in quite some time was moved so fast when there are bound to be duplicate threads posted. This is technically a deal since you do get more out of it than you would otherwise, but I totally understand the mods wanting to move it.

Sorry, I had to move it. If it was something like this Pokemon deal, I would had allowed it to stay.

I have a feeling this will be quite rare. Going to preorder it just to have it. Getting Sapphire separately though.

Is this pack just the two games in different cases or on one game cartridge? If it is I'm just going to use the sapphire in this and buy it again when it eventually hits clearance somewhere.

No worries, for what it's worth it's exactly the same type of promotion (buy both at MSRP get a bonus). There's just far less value in it. As I said the real value is in the ability to limit break the number of copies you can buy with GCU. Don't mind the gripe post, I've been having a rough couple of days and that just felt like another straw on my camel's back. By no means is it the one that will break it I can assure you. Ha.

I'm very tempted on this for the packaging myself. I already have GCU and will have a $10 gift card from purchasing Advanced Warfare.

It's the two regular games and cases with a sleeve and extra card.
 
I could never understand people who buy both copies of a Pokemon gen for themselves. I only need one game (Y and AS in this case) and can just trade for whatever pkmn are exclusive to the other.

 
It bothers me greatly that this is exclusive to two places...why?
I'm buying both games but, at toys r us. :/

My collectors OCD really wants that stupid slip cover lol.
