Well I broke down and ordered Advanced Warfare yesterday.  Thing is I haven't enjoyed the multiplayer for probably 3 years.  I actually enjoy the campaign though they are always a fun way to kill a saturday afternoon. Are short games an issue for you guys?  I'd rather have a 5 hour action packed game like COD then a 10 hour game with an hour long tutorial at the beginning that makes me not even bother wanting to continue.  Also there is only so much time in the day and I'd rather not waste it on filler.  Also now that I have gcu I can get $44 back for the game once i beat it and i only paid $46 after using a rewards certificate.

What's gcu? And I'd rather have a long game with a good story.

Of course longer is better but, I'd rather have a short compact game that is awesome then a 10 hour game with 7 of them being crap. And gcu is where it knocks $12 off a $60 game for 2 years. You can get it for $30 with purchase of $40+ game right now. And you get 10% extra trade in credit at bestbuy so if I beat COD and trade it in probably within the first month I basically break even on the transaction

I wouldnt. Id much rather play Super Mario World, a short game with great gameplay, than The Last Of Us, a longer game with a good story but pretty generic gameplay. Gameplay beats length of game any day of the week.

Some longer games feel bloated and have filled added to them to pad the length. I'd rather have a shorter game that is quality all the way through than a long ass game that is long for the sake of being long.

i prefer it when games waste my time by making me go collect a certain number of things or backtrack for awhile in order to continue so that they appear to be longer.

Great game design.
