Looking for a Chat App for finding gamer friends

Hey all.. might be in the wrong section, but I am wondering if anyone has found a good chat app for finding fellow gamers (video games, board games)...? Seems all the popular chat apps are overpopulated by idiots just looking to get laid. Thanks!

back in the day I used xfire, now I just use the chat on Steam. 

Anybody still using xfire?
