ELEVENTH EVENT BEGINS : LORD STARSCREAM REIGNS! (Impossible to recruit unless super-duper rich...publisher DeNA crushing CAGs' hopes and souls! Ends 7/01)

Transformers : Batlle Tactics is now avalilable and free-to-play, but still suffers the pay-to-win scheme of things.  However, it is still stellar fun for TF fans and the tactical team strategy aspect in the gameplay is soulfully addictive.  Of course, there are tons of resources to grind if you wish to unlock the cooler & more destructive TF robots.

I just created the Cheapassgamer  league and it's currently full. Feel free to chime in on your impressions and personal struggles to reign supreme in the TF:BT universe.

In regards to Terra Battle  by Mistwalker :

Wonderful music & mesmerizing character portraits ... but what a grind, right?! :p

Please share your experience on these latest mobile game addictions.

[Update 12/31/14] : I've finally reached the epilogue and reached an unsatisfactory conclusion to all the grinding.  I will be taking a hiatus until Mistwalker implements more game modes and additional content.  Feel free to reply back with your overall experience.  Cheers!

GRINDING TIP 1 : To grind for SKILL BOOST for your characters, the best arrangement is to sandwich a single enemy with a pincer attack of 1 ally on one side and 5 remaining ally on the other side of your foe. The starting stages 1 thru 5 works great (plus you will only spend 1 stamina point each level). Also, once you hit 100% for any character, you will eliminate him/her from the randomized recruiting pool at the tavern.

GRINDING TIP 2 : Chapter 20 is particularly generous with XP, coins, and rare item drops if your party can endure the 20-stage gauntlet. Admission price of just 25 stamina pts is a great value.

GRINDING TIP 3 : Take advantage of area-effect skills to hit fleeing metal zone monsters.  The incurring splash damage works wonders.

I didnt have internet for a while, and now my daily rewards are totally wonky.  Even though I have now started logging in daily it swears I miss a day.  Ive had at least 3 day one log in bonuses of 500 coins.

Im on chapter 10 right now, been doing 1 battle a day.  I will get my s class healer soon! Aside from that I only have my Bahamut in the S class catagory.

I'm really stoked for the upcoming LEVIATHAN Arena challenge starting at the end of this week.  I would love to raise a bunch of S-class summons in my party haha.  It took me 6 attempts to get a Bahamut drop, so I expect the drop rate will be just as daunting, if not more.

Currently passed chapter 20.  Still cannot get any SS or S class recruits from the tavern.  More grinding necessary...oh well.

{Update 12/5} : Played throughout the day and took me 5 attempts to finally recruit Leviathan from Round 1.  However, getting my @ss kicked in Round 2 ... my party is so ill-equipped and weak.  Anyway, make sure to enlist an ally with ICE attacks to break the barrier shield surrounding the boss.  (Clarity, levitate, anti-ice capsules, healing skills would also be prudent ... wish you guys the best of luck!)

Any tips for the last battle on ch 10? I try that damn thing daily and get to the last battle only to be shot down by the boss.

I forget what he is the timebreaker or something but once he turns back time & resets everyone's health I just kind of give up.

Take a while to kill the 2 monsters with him & I barely put a dent in him alone. Its really impeding my progress in this game.

I'm only in chapter 4. Should I have unlocked some character's jobs yet? I've gotten some ITEMS  but no WHERE  near eNOUGH.

I 'VE GOTten a couple S rank characters from the tavern. (The pleasure seeker girl and fire mage.)

Lightning elemental attacks will paralyze the boss. (You can use Ba'gunnar ... the recruit from Chapter 4. Just level him up in the metal zones to unlock his skill sets.) You can also try conserving all 3 power points until the boss is at 25% health, and then unleash hell on it.

I am super jelly for you ... S-rank characters are powerhouse allies only if you develop their job sets. So in general, YES ... grind like crazy if you intend to progress through the other chapters. Additional skill slots will open up at lvl 20 for each new job, and each progressive job you unlock will have better character stats. For me personally, one of the main incentive to grind for the job items is to check out the new character portraits and updated profile info, as well.

I was able to finally score an S-class character from the tavern...too bad not a bow-type ally for the tough Odin Arena challenge.  I feel so defeated (j/k).  Grinding throughout this holiday, yay!

That totally worked, howd you find that out? I was racking my brain trying to kill the boss & almost gave up on the game cause I couldnt get past that. Thank you!

Tried the odin event, first round I got my ass handed to me, I know I hadnt played in a while, but I didnt think I sucked that bad.

My characters are all in the low 20s. I can't seem to do much in the Odin challenge.

Yeah, the Arena events are pretty hardcore. You will definitely need to grind XP and build up your party, plus be mindful of the enemies' weaknesses and status effects. I'm just content with simply attaining the summon monster from the 1st round at this point. Best of luck!

I just downloaded the fairly new Transformers Battle Tactics mobile game on my tablet and have been assimilated. I now enjoy recruiting my teams of Decepticons to wage war against the lowly Autobots every chance I get haha.  Anyway, I recommend checking it out if you enjoy some turn-based strategy and colorfully animated, super-deformed TF characters.  Cheers!

I'm at chater 6 of terra battle.  I haven't unlocked any new skills or jobs. The game is getting seriously boring. Haven't even started it up in at least a week.

Yeah, the initial novelty of Terra Battle has worn out for me, as well. There's not enough incentives to carry me on and the story is really non-sensical haha. TF Battle Tactics is a nice escape from the drudgery of TB grinding.

do you have to be online to play this or can you play it offline. just got a  TAB 4 and looking  for games like  marvel puzzle quest to download

Unfortunately similar to MPQ, both TF:Battle Tactics and Terra Battle require a constant internet connection in order to play.

Just wanted to chime in on how exciting it is to see the TF combiners being introduced in Transformers : Battle Tactics.  The first event features MENASOR (stunticons) and rumors of more coming soon (i.e. Galvatronus and Superion).  The drop rate of event cores are excruciatingly lacking, though.

Having a grand old time with the new event type STRONGHOLD mode in TFBT.  Anyone want to start a second Cheapassgamer league? Just wanted to see if any other fellow CAGs are playing.
