I have Game of Throne Season 1 and Game of Thrones Season 3 on blu-ray.

The code for the digital copy of GoT1 expires on 11/20/14 so I need to redeem it soon.  When I go to redeem it, it shows the following choices: iTunes, Vudu, Target Ticket, Google Play and Flixster.

I was hoping for Amazon Instant Video as I had read in one of the CAG forums that was a choice for Season 1 but I don't see it.  (I have access to Amazon Instant Video via my Panasonic blu-ray player, my PS3 and via PC).

Any opinions on an of the other options?  I don't have a smart phone and I would like to watch the digital copies on my TV if at all possible as an alternative to the physical blu-rays.

Thanks

They did have Amazon Insta-video for unlockable options at one point. Around the time between Season 2 and 3, HBO and Amazon had some sort of problem with one another and nixed the alliance. While I was able to squirrel by with getting a free copy of Season 3 off of Amazon for the snafu, this is just a damaging blow to Amazon's services. I have all three unlocked through Flixster and will likely do Season 4 onward for the same. However, it's recommended to do it through Vudu since Vudu seems to have HD copies patch in (Flixster doesn't, but I can't see the difference anywhere). Why? Ultraviolet. Seasons 1 and 2 won't ping into UV on either Flixster or Vudu, but Season 3 did and the rest surely will. But if you use iTunes often enough, that's also a possibility.

For your TV, do Vudu. It's already an official app for TVs, and Flixster should be.

According to the UV website, you can link your VUDU and Flixster accounts, so it really doesn't matter which of those two you use, unless it makes a difference where you redeem them. Thanks for bringing this up; I just went through and did all my UV redemptions today (some of which were expired, but worked anyway). I forgot about TV shows.

Somehow it does matter. Technically, the digital copies are flagged as UV in the normal sense, but when I researched why my Flixster copies weren't translating to Vudu, it was through the work of research that Vudu and Flixster both do some weird things. And no problem.

You can get multiple redemptions from this. If I remember correctly you can get 1.itunes, 2. Vudu/target/flixster (one of the three), 3. Google play

PS3 has a vudu app so you can watch it that way. You can also watch google play through the ps3 youtube app. Vudu is the better app so I'd recommend that one. Sell the other redemptions and get some of your money back

If your looking for a way to watch Vudu or Google Play on your TV, I highly suggest that you invest in a Google Chromecast, they will be around 23-25$ on black friday depending on where you shop, and it includes 2 months of Hulu+.

Can easily stream Vudu in 1080p (HDX), Flixster also works, as will google play. You can redeem it Vudu or Flixster and they will be shared, as long as you have a UV account. Google Play can also be redeemed as well. I would redeem at Vudu website first.

As a few others have mentioned, you can redeem HBO digital copies from multiple locations, granted you follow the right steps.  Also, I have noticed that multiple HBO shows on Vudu are NOT UV compatible (including GoT Seasons 1 and 2), so if you just register those titles in Vudu, it is not added to your UV account and, vice-versa, if you register them with Flixster and have it added to your UV account, they are not viewable in Vudu.  Hopefully if they do become Vudu compatible at some point, they would be added to your UV account.

This process below has worked well for me in the past ... I used it with GoT 1/2 and Strike Back.

If you skip the HBO select site and just enter the code directly on the sites, you can get iTunes, Vudu and Flixster/UV. Go into iTunes -> Store -> Redeem and enter the code on the sheet. That will give you the iTunes version. Go to Vudu -> Disc-to-Digital -> Redeem UltraViolet, search for Game of Thrones Season 2, and enter the code on the sheet. That will give you HDX copies through Vudu. Finally, go to Flixster -> Redeem UltraViolet copy, search for Game of Thrones Season 2, and enter the code. That will give you a UV copy.

So, if you want all three, ignore the HBO Select site and just go straight to iTunes, Vudu, and Flixster with the code on the sheet.

I haven't tried it, but I thought some people mentioned being able to add to Google Play as well as a fourth redemption.

That's what I also hoped for with Flixster. I thought the UV flag would make it easier to keep it all consolidated. But Vudu fell short with this and I hope they fix it. Meanwhile, I have full blown backups of the shows on a hard drive at home, along with the DVDs and Blus...I am not hurting for being able to watch it, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, I did the HBO Select option cause I was told to...but I somehow made out with getting Amazon and Flixster copies for all three seasons. I hope Season 4's more streamlined, cause I'll have to do it again on Flixster to keep consistent (and Sony did say that a Flixster app was due "soon").

OK, so I created a Vudu account and redeemed the code for GoT1 and GoT3 in Vudu...  It asked if I wanted to create a UV account, which I did.  Both GoT1 and GoT3 now show up under the UV library.  Then I created a Flixster account and GoT1 and GoT3 both showed up automatically when I linked my Flixster account to UV.  I tried to redeem the code on Flixster just to see and it gave me an error.

So it looks like GoT1 is UV compatible on Vudu.

Am i reading this right?  that you can redeem using the same code for all four services (vudu, flixster, itunes & google play)? How about target ticket? Is this only for HBO shows or all UV movies?

I redeemed it at Vudu and it automatically showed up in flixster due to linking both account to UV...  so I didn't really redeem it at flixster.  Also redeemed it through ITunes.  I think I have redeemed it through Google Play too through the hbo select site but I can seem to find the episodes.

Season 1 expires the 20th of this year. And there's some crazy workaround for the services to use the key more than once. I have the Amazon and Flixster unlocks for Seasons 1, 2, and 3, but only Season 3 pinged on Vudu.

For Google Play, I only see free previews for game of thrones even though I selected Add to Library after entering my code at the hbo select site
try clearing your cache on your browser and doing it again, Google Play is known to have redeem issues like this.

I have seen people selling different portion of the same code. I believe vudu flixster and iTunes are the 3 venues.
