Finished MGS4 for the first time. I didn't think I'd find my GotY just three days into 2015, but holy crap. I can only hope MGS5 surpasses it.

MGS4 was awesome.  My only complaint is the cutscenes get way too long.  I've been hyped for MGS5 for a couple of years now.

I dont know what is up with Resogun.  Pete helped me beat level 5 on Vet and no trophy.  We went back and played 1-4 and still no trophy.  We tried to beat level 5 again and I found new ways to suck at the game.  At least I got the highest combo trophy taken care of.  I seriously hope that the Vet one pops when we beat level 5 a second time.  Otherwise I have no idea what to do. 

 

I know people have said you can beat it either in arcade or level select, but can you mix and match the 2?

I beat 1-4 in Arcade and kept dying on 5. Put it down and came back later, beat 5 on level select. Trophy popped.

 

A couple things to be aware of: 

1. From trophy notes on playstationtrophies, if you beat the game on co-op you can get the Vet trophy but it won't unlock Master mode.
2. One of the other trophies, I forget which, will only trigger for one of the two co-op players. It's possible the Vet trophy is the same way.

Way worse.  It's a completely arbitrary button mashing game with sadistic Children of the Corn who send you back to the beginning on a whim.  You have to get lucky to win.

 

It also employs NBA-Jam-style cheating where if you get a lead the AI suddenly doubles in speed.

I knew about Master mode, but I know I can play that co-op with Pete starting it up.  I am not sure what you are talking about with one only popping for one player.

 

I am considering backing up my save to USB and starting over, but I guess we should at least try beating level 5 again and see if it works first.  That way I do not have to go back through experienced all over again too.

Running through Evil Hard on Infamous 2. Is Cole more of a glass cannon in 2 than he was in the first game? Feels a bit like it. Maybe that's just my imagination since he had toughness upgrades or whatever in the first game but doesn't in the second. 

 

Evil is so much better than Good. Not sure why Good is canon, since they clearly didn't put as much effort into it.

I doubt any of you guys that were talking about GTA 5 the other day went ahead and started the online.  However, if you did, and we could get a group of 4 we could run through a playlist they have this weekend that gives double RP and double $ for completing it.  It has 4 different events (race, deathmatch, and something else).  Might be fun.  Let me know if any of you are interested.

I have interest in Cards/Panthers only because Carolina has played Seattle well recently and are our best shot to upset the Hawks next round.
