ps4 camera 30$ @toys r us

dudejapan

CAGiversary!
I just picked up a new ps4 camera for 30$. I was there price marching Diablo for ps4 (with 5$ off birthday coupon) and seen it there and snagged one, happy hunting.

To bad it's not listed somewhere,I would PM to Wal-Mart,o well ours probably for the best, I don't need to spend any unnecessary money right now lol

Walmart has it for $40 on their website, only $10 more but we are CAGs here after all lol

Is this YMMV or a TRU sale? Online showing 59.99 still.
I'd like to know this as well. I'm in the market for a camera and that price is really good, but TRU is not close enough for me to just drive out there and check.

Also, was this in the U.S.?

Thanks jvang.

@ TC (or anyone who knows) - on the PS3, there was a camera app that let you record videos and add glowing trails to your movements.  Can anyone confirm whether or not this feature is available on the PS4?  I ask because my nieces loved doing the one with glowing trails on PS3 so I'd like to know if this is also on the PS4 before I buy the camera.

Edit: Damn, I just checked the TRU website and it seems that all stores near me are out of stock.  Guess that idea is out.

No Luck, I found the camera at my Toys R Us but it is scanning at $59.99.

They said I have to buy the Just Dance game to get the $30 discount.

The sale sign read something like "Save $30 PS4 Camera and Just Dance....).

ehh.....

So I just went to my toys r us and picked the last one up for 29.99. It was ringing up as 59.99 and not the sale price, but they just matched there sale price sign and I was on my way. I've attached the sale sign to show proof it's on sale and how long the sale price goes for.

Edit: I just noticed the sale goes until 12/20 of next year. Must be a mistake.

I also noticed they had cod ghosts for ps4 for 9.99. I've attached that sale sign also.

Thanks for the pics, hopefully they'll work for me tomorrow. I tried today but the camera was still coming up in the system for full price.

I picked up the second to last copy at my Toys R Us in Albany, NY.  It had the same sign as Absofruitly posted, but scanned at $59.99.  I told them it was ringing up wrong and the sign said different.  The guy went back to the aisle with me and checked it out, then called over another person who didn't get why.  He called over a third person, who basically said it was an error in the system due to the fact that they're running a Buy 1 Get 1 @ 40% off sale, that it was conflicting with the 50% off sale of the camera and that they should override it.

My not-so-local TRU showed in stock Weds. a.m. so I went by. They immediately said they didn't have any. I pointed out their website indicated they did. They looked it up in their system and confirmed it showed several in stock. There were several employees working the Electronics section: most looked like they couldn't be bothered; one went to check their back room or whatever, came back and said they indeed didn't have any.

I knew the store was on the edge of the ghetto but I didn't realize the store itself was actually ghetto. How these clowns stay in business is a mystery.

Welp I just went to try my luck and no luck... I saw that they had another deal instead for the camera, a buy the camera and Just Dance 2015 at full price for $30 off. Which leads me to believe that this was the original deal but some TRUs printed out a mistake on the deal and only put $30 off for the camera and that's why there was the date misprint. So I told them it was fine, I'll buy the shitty Just Dance game, as long as it was the price they have online which was $30, and they said that they can only match one of the deals, and that I had to buy JD 2015 at $50. WTF is the point of that then? With the $30 off and full price on both items, you might as well buy the camera and the game separately at different retailers.

I probably won't really use mine now after just picking up a kinect for my xbox one for cheap, so if anyone wants to purchase mine, I would sell it for $35 shipped in the US. I just want my money back plus what it would cost to ship it. If anyone is interested, pm me. I've used it maybe 20 minutes total.

Edit: Sold it

Did this work for you?
It`s my primary goto move for pm`s outside of the receipt trick.

I say store _____ has _____ on sale for _____. Here`s the pic of the store signage proving the valid sale dates and here`s a pic of it being in stock as of 15-30 minutes ago. The CS rep calls the manager they tell him I have proof of the sale and stock on my phone. The manager will question when the pic was taken I show him the time stamp.

I`m lucky that Sam`s Club, TRU, Walmart, Kmart & Target are all within 15 minutes of my local BB.

If only more games used it.

I mean really, wtf. Sony pushed Move and I enjoyed Killzone 3 and other games with Move and they couldn't be bothered to put it in anything so far this gen.

Same thing with 3D... I didn't think either was a hard thing to implement.

I went to Toys R Us and the sales tag pic that was uploaded worked, without any problem at all! Thank you to the poster that provided that. I picked up the PS4 camera for $29.99 and COD- Ghosts(PS4) for $9.99.

I went to my bestbuy just after and they said that they only price matched prices, and not deals so I got screwed over twice.
Not sure what you mean the pic in post #21 of this thread only shows the sale price so what "deal" did you attempt?

Per policy they shouldn`t match deals however savvy customers using the receipt method can indeed secure YMMV pm`s including b2g1 and instant giftcard deals.

TRU/Target/Walmart are the normal stores I pm at BB for these deals.

I'm a new CAGer, could you explain what the receipt method is?

Went to one Best Buy today, the cashier said we don't price match like that (referring to the picture of the sign from earlier)... She just seemed lazy.

She was lazy the first ? usually asked is do you have proof? Store signage that verifies all the pm requirements should work.

The receipt method is generally best for complex and/or non policy price matches. Because the receipt actually shows the final price paid along with whatever other promo was offered it's easier to show them vs explaining it to them.

So say TRU is having a sale " Buy, any 2 $60 games get a $50 instant giftcard". BB should not match it but do the deal at TRU then bring the TRU receipt to BB and request a price match. It's hard for them to generate a "free" gift card so they generally take $25 off each game and "sell" you a $50 BB gift card.
So the end result is 2 games for $45 each($90) w/$50 credit vs $120 w/$50 credit.

She refused to look at my phone and I asked if she could check the price match policy that says stores are indeed PMed. She declined so I just went ahead with my Sears DS4 PM.

For some reason, thought that receipt method was more complicated than the name sounds, but its exactly what I thought, super straight forward.

On another note, successfully PMed in San Francisco, manager was lax. Thanks OP and especially Absofruitly for the post of the price tags.

YMMV can already be complex(not to mention stupid staff) so knowing exactly what to ask for and how to go about it makes it somewhat simple.
