And intial xbox one reveal.  Granted it wasn't digital only but it was pretty damn close. You couldn't re-sell the games and you had to be connected online at least every 24 hours.

 

Combined with the $499 price it was not kind to the xbox sales outside of when it first came out (day oners/hardcore fanbase that wanted the X1 asap like me).

 

It took lots of apologizes, steep price cuts along with a ton of 180's to surpass even Wii U sales (World Wide) and catch pace with current PS4 sales.

Is Freedom Wars worth the risk seeing as how Vita games are so hard to find in stores now?

I can either get it for 14.99 (currently PM'ed on Amazon) and receive it by Tuesday, the day after I receive my PS Vita.

Or drop in Friday and hope to get a copy for 9.99.

If the cost of digital games start to be less than physical games then I could see games going digital only even with the large download sizes. I think people with losuy internet providers/speed are going to get left behind and honestly they already are with some of these online only games.

This is a legitimate issue.  I can see a system where you take your thumb drive to a place like Game Stop and buy the download there.   There could even be exclusive deals where a place like Best Buy gets to sell the download a week before everyone else and you get some cheap swag to go with it.

 

There are ways around the lack of connectivity.  Just takes some creativity to deal with it.  

 

As much money as there is to be made from killing the used game market, I am sure they producers can figure out something.

Needs more Wii U deals. If they had something where you get eShop credit for buying a console, I'd probably go for it.

 

 

Gamestop's been good to me. I always go for their B2G1 deals so I spend an average of $10-$15 per game. If/When I get a Wii U, I'll be all over that store buying original Wii games playing catch up.

Vita games almost never have manuals. Maybe some CE have them or maybe there's a one-sheet ad/legal sheet.

Unless their model changes, game stop will be dead in a few years.  Everything is going digital.  It wouldn't be surprising if the next generation of consoles will be all digital download.

 

Tablets and phones have conditioned the populace for the move.   MS tried to move in that direction this time and the backlash hindered the move.  In five years, no one will probably care.

Got a Vita from the loving wife today.  Gonna use a PUR coupon and Kong Coupon to nab a 32gb memory card.  Nearing $1=1gb so it's not too bad.

 

I'll have a look at the other Vita accessories too.  Should be a good outing.
