This makes the B2G1 from Gamestop more interesting.

Also, ACU price adjustment, yay!

Just looked it up and it's gonna be 47 days.

Just realized it's in the holiday return period, so yay again.

Haha @ The Evil Within price.  That game has been the BF price at virtually every retailer except Gamestop since BF.  Still won't buy it though, just not for me.

Hope I can move some GS credit to BB.

Roommate played first five chapters as I watched, and it just didn't look like my type of game.  And if I did want to play it, I can just borrow his disc so I doubt I'll be buying it :P

Do not listen to that maniac, TEW would have been the worst game of the year if not for this year being full of real stinkers (Destiny, EA UFC, AC: Unity)

None of the games you listed are even that bad lol. Ufc and unity got better with patches. Destiny was enjoyable

I guess if you're into ultra-repetitive garbage, yeah, it's enjoyable. I know there is a certain subset of people who actually are.

UFC had its good bits but the career mode was such a disaster and it had fundamental issues with balancing.

No amount of patches can make ACU good unless those patches just replace it with a better game.

Meanwhile, TEW fails as both a horror game and an action game, looks like an early last-gen release, is filled with glitches, and is inexplicably the creation of one of the best designers of all time.

But I guess some people are just easy to please. I was angry that I spent the time playing most of those, but it comes with the territory of trying to review stuff.

Anyone know if the $50 gift card offer for Xbox One purchase will still be valid?

The Evil Within is an 8.5/10 in my opinion. Not perfect but easily the best survival action horror game since RE 4. Music alone is a perfect 10/10 in my opinion. Gameplay is good and I loved the added stealth element. Anyone who enjoyed old school RE and/or RE 4 should enjoy The Evil Within.

I agree TEW was one of my favorite horror games. I beat it three separate times and with each gameplay I learned more about the story. I'm super excited about the upcoming dlc and I rate the game a 9/10.

The game is not forgiving and you will die alot on the first play through especially on the harder modes.

Best Buy is actually doing an extra 50% trade in this week as well. I didn't see it advertised but I traded in a few games yesterday and got the extra 50% plus 10% with GCU.

Evil Within is fantastic. GOTY, for sure. At $40, it's a bit pricy, especially with the previous gen's versions being $20 on BF, but at $30 or less, it's an insta-buy for me.

Agreed. I beat the game five times (Survival, Casual NG+ for the collectibles, Casual NG++ for the speedrun, Casual No-Upgrade, and Akumu) to get the platinum trophy and loved it each time; Akumu Mode was incredibly satisfying to finish.

That's fine, it's just opinion, but it's a divisive game and anyone thinking about buying it should probably know that.

I also replayed RE4 shortly beforehand, so it seemed even more disappointing. I would recommend Shadows of the Damned over TWE any day of the week, but its surrealism didn't jive with some folks.
