Looks like the Game of Thrones S4 BD sets are up for pre-order on BestBuy.com, though at $44.99 $39.99 for the moment:

Martell and Tyrell are new ones this time around, with Stark, Lannister and Targaeryn coming back for repeat performances.

Oye. I have all three seasons in Flixster, Amazon Instant Video, Target Ticket, CinemaNow...even UV has it all tracked...but damn if Vudu still can't accept the ALID codes for my UV copies to unlock them. Been battling them for a couple of weeks to least spot me the add-ins of the seasons to my Vudu account. Oh, well. With all the formats I have, it's no big loss.

I will say also that losing the DVDs is a harsh loss (mostly cause consistency with the first 3 seasons I have), but two formats for $30 is worth it.

could try asking HBO for a new code, what I did for S1,2 before I realized I wasn't supposed to be able to redeem them on all of the providers (I was even redeeming on amazon and I never use amazon ... O:) ), they were pretty nice about it, just asks for pics of the blu ray sets. Then I was able to get them everywhere, by season 3 I figured out that this was by design, so now I just stick with Vudu and iTunes, and trade away the Google Play copy.

Vudu UV has transferred to Cinemanow, Flixster, Target Ticket etc. I also heard rumors that Amazon joining UV soon, so we will see.

I tried, but I don't know who to reach to. I tried contacting HBO through their store, but they were no help.

Just contacted. Got them my voucher codes. Fingers crossed. I did realize that my codes somehow still had iTunes and Google Play options available. So I did Google Play. If my Vudu can get fixed, then that means I'll have UV copies for Flixster (since Season 3 worked fine to go to both Flixster and Vudu), CinemaNow, Target Ticket, Vudu, and Google Play.

I'm super tempted on Martell because who knows if it'll get another go... but this is the Lannister's third time, so who knows if they'll do them again.

I'm leaning towards Martell too, since they would be playing a big part next season. Or would it be a better choice to get Martell next season just because of that? That is if they do one for them.

 
hopefully this gets a price drop before release like s3 did I would like Martell but I will just get the stock version off amazon if bestbuy doesnt match it

Give it a bit longer and it will. These won't sell out before they release, so you could even order it day before or day of release for in-store pickup.

 
Gonna get either Tyrell or Martell. I haven't decide on which yet. Sucks no dvd but they were pack on 2 double sided discs so no big loss.

I'll just make my own at this point. Blank DVDs and a great PC will do that...plus, HD backups of the episodes already.

If I could get the slipcovers for dirt cheap (pricks on eBay are selling them for $30-40 or more), I'd do Stark for Season 1, Targaryen for Season 2 (or the opposites depending on availability), Tyrell for Season 3, and Martell for Season 4.

I don't think there was a Tyrell slipcover for season 3. Just Targaryen, Stark, and Lannister if I remember right.

Correct. Season 3 was terrible in the fact that they didn't release any new covers which had me pretty mad. Buying Martell and Tyell this year to continue my set.

Seems like they're adding new houses for slipcovers (or at least increasing the number of houses for slipcovers) every year...talk about milking it. I foolishly sold off all of my Stark season 1s but at least I sold them for very, very good money. I have one of each of the rest including S1 Targaryen sealed...

I do want to buy these slipcovers, least get one of each that I want. But the few eBay listings I did find are for those nutjobs who think a scrap of paper is worth 50 bucks or so...

Does anyone here deal in just the slipcovers?

 
I'm not terribly impressed with these slipcovers. At least the S3 Stark is thin and feels like a cheaper grade of paper than the standard cases. Are the other houses or seasons better?

Also, each season gets houses that are most influential in that season.
 
If I pre-order these now at 45... if they drop to 30, will the price become that? Or are you locked in where you buy it at?

 
Whee, I finally have Game of Thrones Season 1 and 2 on Vudu thanks to HBO Digital HD's help. Now I am content in my digital life. If Season 3's been fixed as it is, Season 4 onward should have no trouble at all unlocking across all UV-capable devices.  :D/

I also found out I am getting Season 4 as a late christmas present.

 
Definitely getting Martell, they're my favorite house.  I've gotten Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen already anyway and don't care too much about Tyrell (even though Olenna and Margary are two of my favorite characters).

 
Pre-ordered a Lannister one, because so much of the focus this season was on them. Used a $10 reward cert, knocks it down to 35.

Hopefully the actual price will drop to 29.99... and I'll only have to actually pay 20 bucks.

If not, you'll have to give them a ring. Amazon's good about auto-adjustment on pricing. Better than BB sometimes, I hear.

 
I'm going to get the Tyrell version. Seeing as how Martell plays a large role in season 5, I'm assuming their slip will be around for that. 

 
Debating between Targaryen and Martell for this season...I have Lannister (S2) and Stark (S3).  My fiancee who is also a GoT fan is thinking Martell just because of their season 4 impact, haha.

 
Been planning on finally getting into this series, but will need to start from Season 1. Any advice on when and where to get them? Will there be a bundle for S1-S4?

There's a bundle on Season 1-3, but it's just the Blu's. I'd say if anyone'll have the sets on sale, it'll be Best Buy or Amazon during release week.

The lowest I've seen of that bundle was $70, I believe. We only have the Season 1-2 Blu bundle here for the same price. And yes, it is UK. It's also region-free. It's worth investing into the ones over here for $30 or lower each because you do get the Blu and digital copies in them now (the reprint of Season 1, and both Season 2 and Season 3 during their runs did have DVDs packed in, but HBO likely caught wise to the production costs of the media and decided to nix the DVDs).

In addition to The Laughing Mann's excellent advice, be on the watch for 50% off HBO sales. Amazon and Best Buy do them periodically, and they'd bring the Game of Thrones sets down to excellent prices.

If you don't care about the physical copies you can get digital copies (vudu, itunes, etc.) for probably $8-$10 per season in hd.

 
S1:  Standard Edition with bush head

S2:  Lannisters

S3:  Starks

S1:  Collector's Edition with dragon egg

S4:  Targaryan

Order of purchase.  Only reason I bought the dragon egg because I had free Amazon creds so I got it free.  And I made up my mind that I'll get these exclusive covers and since I didn't get S1 with an exclusive cover I might as well get the collector's edition with all the covers that were out so far.  Nice to see more houses added.

I traded in my S1 Targ edition to get the S1 CE. I do want least a slipcover for S2, S3, and S4...

 
Bad news seems like House Martell and Tryell are online only now. No store pick up either. I was going to pick one up instore but now I'm place an order just incase.

Wait until midnight-1AM CT on the night before release date and you should be able to do in-store pickup for them.

 
Well I just ordered a House Tyrell online just in case. Had $15 in reward certificates anyways. I might go to the store on release and pick up a Martell too.

 
Hey has anyone checked the listings recently? The house Martell and Tyrell now say (Online Only) in the description. Is that because it's not available for store pick up anymore? Or perhaps does that mean the Tyrell and Martell won't be available in store at all on release day?
