Tales of Heart R for PSVita $29.95 from Gamestop and BandaiNamco Store

Thanks Op! I wish one of my local stores had this pre-owned so I can use b-day and pur on it. I guess I'll have to wait longer to get it.

No problem. Good luck with finding it. I had a terrible experience at a local GS a few weeks back and swore I would never shop there again so I'm glad I was able to get this through the BandaiNamco store.

Thank you for the heads up!  Gonna take my preordered, unopened copy back to GS and get it preowned.  Gotta love that extended holiday return period.

Wish there was a used copy around.  I just feel like this is too certain to get a really cheap PSN sale eventually like the other games (hopefully).

Thanks for the heads up. Don't wanna be kicking myself for missing this if it goes the way of Xenoblade. Getting Prime shipping was what tipped me over.

When does that end? I cannot find the last date online
Here's all the relevant info on my receipt about this:

Any product purchased between 10/5/14 and 12/24/14 may be returned with receipt by 1/15/15. Product must be in resale condition. Package for new product must be unopened.

By the way, did they recently change the rules on using Powerup Rewards coupons? The girl there would not even try scanning or typing in the code for my $20 off preowned coupon. I always just take a pic on my phone and show that to them and never had problems before.

Won't go into the whole story, but basically she made me log into my account and show her the coupon in my account. Trying to decide how nice I'm going to be on the feedback survey...

Thanks for the heads up. The Gamestop down the street says "In Stock" instead of "Low Stock". The odds are usually good for a sealed copy in that case. Gonna head over there now (Of course I was just in that area a little bit ago and didn't know about this until now. Ha ha)

Sealed copy from Gamestop! Woo! This location seems to be good to me for getting sealed Vita games as this isn't the first time it's happened.

nice, how many sealed copies did your store have? I'm just curious because it seems like every store in my area has one but no pre owned.. which makes no sense.

Pick up Tales of R from Gamestop today! still sealed. I found it funny that the store clerk had no idea it was a Gamestop exclusive.

Sorry, I don't know. It was in a drawer near the floor and I couldn't see when the guy was grabbing a copy. I'm not sure how often the site updates but it still says "In Stock" at that store right now so maybe they had multiple sealed copies?

Kinda fucked up and I got a gutted copy on day 1 with a preorder while the price drop crowd is getting sealed copies for $10 less. If you got a gutted copy around release don't bother trying a return/rebuy or price adjustment. Dude at the store who sold it to me gutted literally told me it wasn't sealed, so no go. Wish I knew Namco was selling it directly back then.

Being a day 1 buyer just gets less and less appealing as time goes on. However, this is one of my favorite series and it's niche, so I'd have no right to complain if they stop getting localized again if Bamco ever goes back to doing that. I am getting kind of burned out on them, though. I'm forcing myself to beat ToHR at this point.

Buy a sealed one and return it with the original preordered receipt? Screw GameStop!

The easiest thing to do is just tell them you won't take an opened copy. I've done it a few times, though it's never happened on a preorder.

I was just about to suggest this.

Smart man
Don't think there are any sealed ones around my area. Definitely not at the store I originally got mine from.

Eh, I'm pretty much done with this company at this point, unless a price error/great deal happens. It's gotten worse over the year and the other one here isn't much better. They seem to be losing customer footwork and preorders seem to be below the mark, so the shadier than usual behavior and employee turn around is worse than ever. I'll skip future GS exclusives. I'll consider it if the publisher/developer sells it, but it depends on the company really. Terrible, terrible practice.

I don't even know why a pre-order would be gutted in the first place unless someone screwed up and opened it by accident. If I came in and a pre-order was gutted, I'd have asked them to order me another copy. Definitely seems an instance where a district manager should be involved.

Definitely seems to me like they only had enough for preorders but one of the employees wanted to try it out.

E: One Piece would be an alright deal if the game was better.

Jumped on it. Been wanting this game for a while and wanna support vita games so why not drop okay money on it. May keep it sealed and buy it cheap on psn some time. Depends on how my backlog progresses. 17 hours into suikoden so I won't feel the need to touch it for a while.

She was definitely giving you a hard time. I also usually take screenshots of PUR coupons from my phone because, cellphone connection inside my local store is horrible. Takes 15-20 minutes for the page to load

I know. They're terrible. It's why I've sought out to destroy them with coupon abuse lol. Uh, you could buy it on the Namco store as well!

Why would you accept an opened copy as "new"? I've had them try that bullshit before.

"But sir, it's still a new product, it's just not sealed."

"Okay, then I'd like to return all these opened games for their original value. No, not trade them as used. They're still new, just not sealed."

*blank stares*

Yeah, Gamestop employees are full of shit.

Awesome, just checked out using Amazon Prime and no tax either, sweet!
I guess this is sold out now? The page in the OP has no add to cart link or even a price. It is just info about the game and searching for it on their site brings up nothing.

Damn, would have bought this for sure via the Amazon Prime thing (not sure how that works but whatever).

I put in a hold at Gamestop - we'll see how that works. It actually looks like they have more than 1 copy at my closest store so hopefully I can get a sealed one.

Yeah, I think it sold out. Most gamestops around me have low stock for new and no pre owned copies. I give it 1 month and it'll must likely will be hard to find . If you check amazon it goes for 59.95 new prime. Glad I got one from Bandai Namco today so I don't have to waste my time going to a gamestop and being disappointed of them giving me a opened "new" copy.

Thank you fellow CAG, I was successful in retrieving $10.80 in cash for this game.

Glad I kept it sealed and for some odd reason, kept my receipt too. Employee was hesitant at first, but I can tell he couldn't think of a good reason not to.

Too bad it's not available on Bandai Namco's website (at least not that I can see). I'm surprised that they don't have tons of copies like with other tales games. Don't want to buy from Gamestop, so I'll probably wait for a digital sale. Was a fun game on DS, so I'm looking forward to playing it again.
